Best Of: worst rookie mistakes

What is the worst 'rookie mistake' you ever made in DS?

I'm talking about things like skilling As up to (20),

banking on a low value auction and having them end up taking your gold,

etc...

let's hear them



A few minutes ago, I sacrificed my Kanna AA+ (1) [skill was switched to dea] into a skill stack...

was using monster with skill/monster with same skill and consolidating some skills in my inventory; I noticed my mistake as soon as I hit the button and saw the loading after automatically tapping the "ok" after the you have chosen a rare monster or a monster with a skill thing popped up. I turned off my phone immediately, when I booted it back up. My kanna+(1) was gone

and the worst part?

berith is still (1)

god dammit

the first day i play this game I summoned a bloob blob
and leveled him to max lol

First days I played I somehow got a SDM reg and a Black Gear Wraith...
I think I used the BGW as a sacrifice to level a low monster and I traded the SDM for something which had like 1/10 of SDMs value... yeah, happens.

Used EPs (not my EP) on missions thinking that I needed to get it done before timer count down to 0. Turn out that it was just telling me when it is going to refill the energy by 1.

my worst mistake was my first auction

I summoned a Quetz and put him up for auction, I put in all my gold, about 200k at the time, I didn't exactly understand what 'commision' meant.

I asked for 100k. I got it

Ouch Larry... Larry... Kanna+... ... I don't remember any big mistake at the time, but i'm sure i've made a few... The usual trading good monsta for crappy monsta.

I THINK the only mistake was how I allotted my points I guess. I'm level 73 with 400'ish Energy and 138 Battle Points.

I read I was never supposed to put points into BP, but thinking about that just sounds dumb, I need the high Bp for my team xD

Actually that is a nice distribution of points. You need BP for your formation and other BP events.

Been playing for almost a month now so I've made a few mistakes, but the one that I'm really kicking myself for now is buying 4400 soul points the night before the new event and using them all because being able to choose your monster sounded like a good thing.

I'm like level 91 or something and my energy is like 345 and my bp is 266, so if you are mad at yourself for 138 bp, I should be my own worst enemy!

i once had an sdd, got it when i was like lvl22 then my smart pants sold it for 10 ep =(

Wasting my precious ep and bp potions. I would refill my enery and bp with potions and elixirs just to do missions, not saving them for special events that I might actually get something really good if I used enough potions/elixir or save them for auctiion/trade currency for a really great deal.

My big mistake is spend the free soul points in the beginning of the game, when ateam GIVES FREE SOUL POINTS....AND FREE DARK SUMMONS STILL ARE DARK SUMMONS...

I believe it took me a solid 10-12 free my EP potions that I had saved up to take down the first raid boss... good times.

I think my worst mistake was downloading the game. It's been a downward spiral of obsessive compulsive behavior ever since...

I hope you haven't spent a lot of money on the game, i know is tempting to get a chance at those pesky AA.

Also i just remembered one of my biggest mistakes as a rookie, I wasted a lot of skills, specially Agility trying to level up skill... the problem was that i wasn't using stacks. Oh!!! the pain of seeing all those skills go to waste!

I just discovered a rookie mistake I have been making for some time. And I've been playing DS for almost 2 months. I just discovered that I can send a special tweet message in-game and get a free ally summon EACH DAY. Oh, the agony of all those missed ally summons I could have gotten since they started the ally campaign some time back. *Kicking self in butt.*

Right. Same here. Especially with a chance of getting one of those special ally summon monsters that special evolve.

Dont feel bad, i do the daily tweet and only ever get C/+ rank monsters.

My rookie mistake was sacrificing monsters with skills into other monsters because thats how i thought skill changes worked, didnt realize at the time there was skill change spirits lol

Haha, i saw people selling them in auction and i bet someone thought they were special.

When I first started, I wanted to build a wyrm team because they looked cool and had no clue about multiple combos and such. During my search for wyrms, I was totally naive when trading with other people.

One guy offered me a Ring Dragon+, in return he wanted my Seta, Kanna+, Eifu+, Ebony Demon and Seeker. I told him no way, as I needed Kanna+ for wyrm team. He told me Ring Dragon is one of the strongest and rarest in the game and is very expensive/sought after and worth a lot more than what he was asking for.

I totally refused so he said that he would help me out if I would give him something else instead of Kanna+. After telling him what else I had, he finally settled on Seta, Eifu+, Ebony, Seeker and Scrap Meat Zombie. I trusted the guy because he was a high level...
