Forgotten Island

Are we supposed to forget about the Forgotten Island?

This post may or may not make sense in a couple hours, when A-Team attempts to get their act together.

But right now "Forgotten Island" is gone, and a hastily-recycled Snake King Medals is here.

Why are they doing 2 (3 with the battle event) events at once?

Okay, I suck. I won my 1st battle against xxFly (I think it was a fake opponent) and now the only dude around to fight is Mighty Mouse, who I can't beat (he had 1AA, Nyar, in his form when I first fought him, now he has Urth too). So I'm just summoning. I've got a feeling I'm doing it wrong.

Snake King medals seems planned since new skilled monsters are tied-in with Snake King. Perhaps both events were supposed to be. The news item about Forgotten Island remains.

Recent events, even when carbon copies of older events have been great IMO with the introduction of side-missions, take for instance that tower event that introduced the hunter points, or the events that included time attack or the last one with it's milestones.

I think if this event, even if it's snake medals again could be great if it comes with great unlocks to motivate the screen tapping what really ticks me off and makes me feel puzzled is the whole new monsters with increase party defense plus thing.

are they making old skills "plus" thus making the old ones obsolete?

Well, the person I got matched up against already has Rejected Neprebas, an AAA, and a Cypher one at that, as well as Dru and other rather powerful A+ monsters.

What you do is search for new monsters before you start battling.

I already have 2 AAA and 3 AA monsters in my form. I have not battled yet...

Exactly what Demoni said keep searching and eventually you should come across AAA's. Took me about 6 searches to get 1.

Edit: Actually from what I'm seeing it seems like the AAA's are actually pretty bad. They have no Skills so they put you at a huge disadvantage. I just beat someone who had 5 of them. And this is my form:

Airship of Death Lv 30 / DEA (6)
Magna Lizardman Trooper Lv 42 / IPA (10)
Erasing Winds, Ventus+ Lv 8 / None
Current Demon Lv 25 / DED (7)
Steel Wings, Raminas Lv 21 / IPD (6)

Haven't found anything decent, and I'll never be able to beat that guy (who has 3 AAAs at this point in time), but turns out that opponents reset after a while.

the event doesn't seem as bad as I thought, and aparently people can't steal your monsters? so it's all good IMO.

A lot of it has to do with remembering to set up your formation. The default "battle Freely" is a weak tactic.

The other big thing comes down to monster lvl. An solidly lvled AA time should do a pretty good job beating an weak AAA team.


However my AAA+ lliatirah dose some solid damage at lvl 25. Thank you to whoever I stole her from!

Actually, Demoni is right, and I take everything back...
Five AAA+s are actually very easy to beat. With no skills and often no levels too, an AA+ form with a couple AAA+ to back them up can beat them handily.

Exactly AAA teams are terrible. They only have speed but a monster with Agility Up fixes that easily. I've sacrificed all but one AAA I've seen so far.

This event is a great way for a lvl 80 player (me) to get to know the AA's I normally only see in the AH.

I now have a 3x combo winged wyrm AA team and starting to kick ass. :-) This event is getting fun.

A few notes:

I'm thinking you clone the monsters you steal. I've never seen anything available other than level 1, and no monsters have mysteriously disappeared from my form.

If that's true, 5xAAA+ is good because all you care about is wins on attack. And 5xAAA+ just seems to fight 5xAAA/+.

Rejected+
Maartehm+
Cybele+

Maybe I should have run:

Maartehm+
Ventus+/Gandrid+
Rejected+
Rejected
Maartehm

I'd lose the rarity combo, but gain species or guild. Probably too much hassle at this point. I haven't lost in the last 20 battles.

Whenever you fight someone is there formation always lvl 1? Everyone I fight seems to be lvl 1 regardless of rank

Also anyone know what happens at the end of the event? As it would be REALLY good if you were able to keep your team. Maybe a feature if you won XXX amount of battles though, show you put some effort in

This is another freebie, all it costs is your time, and you can get another GES and other goodies for top 100.

Oh I know the rewards but nowhere does it mention you won't be able to keep your form. I have no doubt in a couple of days when ATeam realise this they will add a statement about it and be like "We sorry, here's x1 My BP. Thank you"

Common sense tells you you won't be able to keep it...

So... am I the only one who can't access the event anymore? Starting to think here that they noticed how people are getting easy rewards by using full AAA+ teams or something, I smell another "event nerfed down 'upgrade'"...

I can't either. And personally x5 AAA+ is the wrong way to do this (or "that" if it is to be removed) event

I dont buy the excuse of "high volume of traffic" for a second. I think they screwed up the AA and AAA summon tables making it too easy to get them. Notice how they already said they are going to restart the event meaning we lose all the monsters ? why would they need to restart of it was simply a high volume of traffic...

While I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, I was on the event when it kicked off, and it was fast as lightning. Every form was kung fu fighting.

Fast forward to dinner time here, and it was as slow as a stuck pig.
