Game time! I find the names of some monsters quite strange. Some LOL funny. My fav: Meatbag Zombie.

Anyway, let's all come up with new monsters, complete with name, type, guild, rarity, and skill if any. Be creative and have fun!

cool post, kheimon, here's a few more AAs based off of mythologies and religions.

after researching my ideas thoroughly, i have a fairly basic choice for a set of 6 AAs(or AAAs). these are also based on mythologies and religions, notably slavic pantheons and Judaism. here they are:

Elohim
impulse demon(gods, angels, devils, and demons have so far been all demons, so Elohim is also a demon)

Do i really need to explain these two? elohim is one of the names of the jewish god, called yahweh elsewhere. ba'al is the closest thing to a devil that the jewish religion has, which is generally applied to anyone who is considered to be "false god", at least as far as i can understand the article on wikipedia. no offense intended to any true jews who know better than me. being an "Idontcareist", i'm not trying to trample anyone's religion with my ignorance.

As much as has been reconstructed of the ancient slavic pantheon, jarilo was a god of fertility and vegetation, while his sister morana was goddess of nature and death, making them to be a "god" and "devil" respectively, in a more rural setting, which is why they are covert.

perun and veles are also deities from the ancient slavic pantheon, who are pretty much the equivalent's of zeus/(thor/odin) and hades/Jörmungandr respectively. being that beings associated with thunder(except for odin, thor's father) are generally psycho, it made sense to put perun and veles in psycho too.

can't say i'm wanting the "cute" ones being drawn to resemble THOSE pictures in any way, that would send me away from the game in an instant. so long as they are "cute" in a much darker way, ok, but like that, NO. this game is DARK summoner, and the predominant theme is everything that the holy texts say you should NOT do. look at the names of the guilds, and their respective types: sin(impulse), rancor(covert), and tyranny(psycho). all the holy texts of today's religions are dead set against sin, rancor(deep-seated hatred), and tyranny(i don't have to explain, do i?), and say you should be honest, think before you act, and certainly not behave in any way that could be called psychotic.

now that i got my feelings on the subject of "cute" out of the way, i'm all for that black winged elite, if only cuz of the monster art, which would blow all other agi monsters away, lol.

lol it's not like they're going to put anything in the game on account of me or almost anyone else suggesting it on the forum so there's no need to be worried.

also it's easier to find clip arts on google than ds-style artwork. I
mean they DO have some cute monsters in DS like quetz, crystal dragon,
the tarasques, etc... but Idk how to search for "things like that" and
choose the unintentionally but distinctly cute ones out of the bunch, so
it's easier to search "cute fat dragon" or "cute hellhound" for a
picture

I mean they shouldn't directly rip off or copy like they did with LOTR balrog but I think some of these are great monster/fantasy characters

yeah yeah I know nids and crons aren't the same, but they both fit the bill for covert pretty well imperium is impulse (red themed) and chaos is purple/pink themed

heh. I certainly hope you aren't implying that hive tyrant>tomb stalker... also wouldn't tomb be more of a creation type? Maybe if you switch tyrant and tomb it would make more sense in context of the rankings (obby/Aterm/tyrant are on more equal footing as a group; as are loc/saint/tomb)

but I really like what you did with the names being similar but not exact copies

ummmm that tyrant has Bsword and Venom, I think that beats stalker lol

but yeah, I originally thought of going just creation crons for covert, and nids for psycho since nids are pink and all, but i don't think anybody wants covert creations lol, and nids are perfect crawlers which covert likes.

tyrant with bsword & venom vs tomb will lose every time

I mean both bsword and venom are good nid options vs tomb but it needs to be all the way one or another. Beau coup warriors with venom could vs tomb, or pure melee tyrant; bsword/lash could vs tomb. tyrant's vc is just attrition vs something like tomb and it's a waste of slot once melee range where bsword is actually good.

you could do the cov AA as swarmlord, that thing can 1:1 tomb what with all his bswords

ohhhh ok, maybe a canon vc/bs tyrant would lose to a canon tomb but the DS versions can be different lol

hmm... the thing with AAAs is that if you wanted to do AAAs you should maybe move lord of change to AAA, replace psy AA with deamon prince


and then have the sin AAA be

oooooo I completely forgot about the other greater daemons. maybe lord of change/bloodthirster/great unclean could be sin/psy/cov AAAs. that would make sense.

the whole 3-way DS guild system always really reminded me of the chaos factions. I'm still not sure if psycho is tz or sl as it has a bit of both (I mean dawn lilin and selene are oooooobviously sl, but alot of the magic using brutes like pfw, iris, wwo are reminiscent of tz sorceresses)
