American Artist Who Worked On Alien To Create Exclusive Bosses

I was browsing Ateam's english website & discovered this juicy piece of DS news:

Players Who Join In-Game Events Beginning Next Weekend Have the Chance to Win Rewards and Acquire Each Creature

ATEAM, creators of the hit battle RPG Dark Summoner, has partnered with legendary artist H. R. Giger, best known for his work on the Academy Award winning Visual Effects team from the classic film Alien. Beginning Saturday, August 17, and continuing each weekend after that, players will encounter three in-game creatures, exclusively made available for the game by H. R. Giger. Known as “The Divinities,” these exclusive bosses will appear one at a time during weekend events, so players must come prepared for battle in order to win rewards. Some very lucky players will even be able to acquire the boss itself to use in their formations.

I'll try Ologolos.

Wasn't too sure at first but it seems like a legit idea... Until I looked at the requirements. You need 13 SPECIFIC crystals to fight certain divinities and, unfortunately for me, I am nowhere near the 6th Dark Lord, let alone the 13th. It'll be a long while till I get them... That is 'if' I get them.

The good old friend 'chance' decided to appear again. I'm positive anyone who doesn't get one first time round will be irate. I know I would be.

Still good to see an event everyone has a chance at. Wish the positive attitude could be said for all the As and AAs about to take a severe nosedive in value.

No way everyone has a chance, it takes an ass load of energy to make it to the last mission.  I'm a dumbass and summoned the dark lords as I got them, so I had a bunch of worthless A monsters, shoulda just kept the crystals.  I do still have about half the needed ones and most of the loot for the rest though so it's not that bad

I didn't go through them but it looks like there's 39 crystals total and each of the divinities takes 13...  I'm supposing if you had all 39 you'd be able to try for each one once?  I'm curious what the consolation prize is when you don't get the divinity?

Anyway any guess as to what the new abilities are on the cards?  Augural Divinity, Sacrilegious Divinity, and Ineffable Divinity?

"Chance" to capture / win the boss monster. aka good luck, no chance actually getting it.

Raid crystals will be tradeable.  Oh joy, more junk flooding this crippled market.

110bp AAA?  Yeah the AAA users will give up a BP combo for these species-cyphers.  

Not impressed.

No need to give up bp combo, just spend enough ep to get 5, duh.  Pretty soon a 5 monster team will cost more than the max of 1200 bp

Pretty sure most people will notice on their own, but in case your writing this event of because of mission progress, they've dramatically sped up getting through the missions.

Those terrible ones that used to give on 2% per click are now giving 10%. That's enough for me to give it a shot.

The key to this event is that even if you get all required raid crystals, spending a lot of energy, and you take one of these guys down, you have a "chance" to get the AAA. Meaning 0.0001% chance

I dig the increased mission prog rate but I'm not noticing any "increased find rate", unless they're referring to the hordes of 1bp reapers I'm getting.

These divinities are (supposedly) sticking around for weeks upon weeks, so I just want to try and run thru the missions as much as I can, try to make it to the end, then go back and find the items.

Unless there's some huge incentive for me to play the "Divinities event" (which isn't apparent to me as of yet), I'm just going to take my time.

 Same here.  I went through my loot and found some that I only needed one piece for.  I noticed for set 35 I had more than one of all pieces except one that I didn't have any of.  I headed to the loot thread here (big THANKS to the OP of that thread!) and started hitting the mission that I needed to complete the set.  With 800 energy I found 1 of the last piece, using jewels I refilled hoping to get the 2nd piece but it never came Suspect   Used jewels to fill again and still no second piece Mad   Spent 2400 energy and only had one piece of one loot set to show for it lol

I'm convinced they dropped the find rates but I'm probably way off and just never really noticed the poor drop rates before because it never mattered before Smile

On the bright side I made ~40 ep appear out of thin air from loot sets I had completed but never used when they made loot tradeable and announced this event.  I really want to try to participate in the event but it's hard not to trade the loot away on the trade market Smile

I haven't been watching my find rates, just trying to clear the missions, but I've always felt like the find rates on later missions were obscenely low. 

On the plus side, the demand for these things will be a great way to get some profit out of farming, if (when) the event proves to not be worth it for us non competitive players.

I will bank right now that this will be shut off as soon as the Creed event thing ends.

I seriously doubt they want us to have any more avenues to make EP without giving them any $$.

I actually did spend some money on soul points due to this upcoming event... not because I really plan on using it to try and get a creed monster just yet, but because, for what it's worth, I wanted to show the developers I'm in support of their recent changes.

I doubt that they'll actually parse this gesture and reasoning out of whatever transactions they receive, but I wanted to mention it here anyway, in case JewelGuy is still reading.

Glad to see that things are starting to get exciting somewhat in DS. I couldn't handle playing both Dark games and decided to play only one of them. I picked Rebirth to play. The main reason I decided to leave/retire/quit DS is because it was getting boring to me.

So anybody get anything good from the boss?  I got an earring crystal, which crafted me a piece of garbage earring.  Sooooo completely worthless and useless.  Just wondering if anyone got a reward that wasn't a useless relica crystal.

20 energy per shot, you get ally help, 5 extra monsters, I had to squint at the screen to see if the health was actually going down with each hit
