Skills Formula Empty Skills Formula

Post by iRobin Sat Aug 11, 2012 9:59 pm

More of a statement. If anyone has better info on this please PM me.
As far as i've seen this is the formula
(Note: Leveling up skills are based on chance and these methods do not guarentee a skill level up in any way, but they do increase the chance to minimize spending)
Remember, the sacrificed skill must always be the same name as the leveling skill.

1-5, sk 1
5-7, sk 2
7-10, sk 3
10-20, sk 4

There is also another formula where you replace 5-7, and 7-10 with using sk 3 from 5-10.

Written Explanation:
I'll just use WWE as an example, it has the skill agility up.

If your agi up skill on WWE is anywhere between 1-5, to level up the skill, sacrifice any monster with an agi up skill level 1.
If WWE's skill is 5-7, sacrifice a monster with agi skill level 2. To obtain such a monster, you must do step 1 again, and sacrifice an agi 1 monster, to another agi 1 monster, which will in turn be sacrificed to your agi 5-7 monster.

From there it is pretty much straightforward.
from skill 7-10, use a skill 3 sacrfice
Skill level 10-20, you ideally need to use a skill level 4.

I find using 1's all the way to 5 having a very low successrate.

There's a few places on the forum discussion this. One of the longer ones can be found here:

Skills Formula Empty ?

Post by NIK Tue Aug 14, 2012 3:20 pm

Ok my question is can I still raise the skill level on a fully leveled monster I've tried to raise the skill of a over 70 monster 3 times and skill is still at 1. I've raised skills on lower level monsters so I know how to do it but I'm wondering do you have to do the skill before it's level 70 (a+)

You can raise the skill on any level monster. Success/failure rate is the same, just costs more to do it on a fully leveled one Wink

I use my own ‘system’ which so far I’ve had very little
fails.

Increase skill lvl 1 to 4 use a skill lvl 1 to sacrifice

Increase skill lvl 4 to 6 use a skill lvl 2 to sacrifice

Increase skill lvl 6 to 8 use a skill lvl 3 to sacrifice

Increase skill lvl 8 to 10 use a skill lvl 4 to sacrifice

Anything above so far lvl 5 to sacrifice. Yes it uses
more skills but in my opinion less overall. I’ve had a few lvl 4 sacrifices
fails but when I sacrifice a lvl 5, no fail.

I see that there may be an error in the initial writing.
I think it should read:

1-4, sk 1
5-7, sk 2
8-10, sk 3
11-20, sk 4

Or similar. There cannot be 2 of the same skill lvl in each tier. There is something wrong there. Can someone please confirm. Thank you. Smile

No, it's correct. Levelling from level 1 to level 5... Level 5 to level 7... and so on...

Sorry, I may not have worded my previous reply properly. What I meant to say is, you CANNOT have TWO lvl 5/7/8/10 categories. There can only be ONE.
So it has to be

1-5, sk 1
6-7, sk 2
8-10, sk 3
11-20, sk 4

Or similar. Having 2 of the same lvl in 2 separate tiers is not proper since we do not know when to use the appropriate monsters. I hope you understand what I am trying to explain. Smile

I must agree with Gav here, It's actually less confusing when it's worded as you had originally posted because the skill starts out already at lvl 1 to, and you will use skill lvl 1 as a sac until it reaches skill lvl 5. Then the second tier will start with the skill already at lvl 5, and you will use a skill lvl 2 as a sac until it reaches skill lvl 7. So on, and so on...

Been stuck at lvl3 Decrease Def with my Endless Night and wasted four lv1 skill mobs so far...

I am going to give it another try before I level up those skills before saccing them. I believe they have just ramped up the difficulty of skilling up certain skill that are more valuable than others (Atk up, Def down, Agi up) and/or some of us having especially bad luck with the dice.

P.S.: Ok 5th time it's fizzling when I try to up my Endless' Def down lvl to 4 and higher. Followed up with the plan and sacced a skill lvl2 creature which succeeded.

Yeah, I think they changed the sac requirement too.
I was stuck at lvl 3. I used 5 lvl 1 incr att and got nowhere. Then used a TWO lvl 2 and went to lvl 5. Then lvl 2 skills again did not work. Used a lvl 3 skill and went to lvl 6.
So far I've learned:

1-3, sk 1
4-5, sk 2
6-?, sk 3

that's what I use too. Going to skill 5 using 1 have very very low success rate. Going to 9-10 using skill 3 also got burned a few times. Almost never fail with a skill 4. I'll rather use a 4 than an wasting a few stack of 3 though I feel like they make stacking to 4 harder than it use to. Failing alot more going from 3-4 than before.
