I'm curious what everyone got with their free trap. I dunno about y'all but the first one I ran into was strong and I couldn't advance until I used the trap. I captured a Scorn Black Wings. I'm on level 41 right now and actually managed to capture another strong without a dark trap (WWO). Anyone else making captures without a dark trap?

Powerful cocoons are the only ones that you should bother using dark traps on. Strongs can be captured with around a 10-15% chance without a dark trap, powerfuls are essentially impossible to capture. Weaks are about 50%, but you can't use dark traps(and you wouldn't want to).

I managed to capture a Lightning Bug from a strong cocoon without a dark
trap, but that was after maybe...15 failed attempts. It happens but
doesn't happen often.

They sometimes tell you what is in the powerful cocoon after you've
failed to capture it. I've seen two Asuras, one Magic Light Dragon, and
one Death Call Covenant.

All I've seen is a Charon of Hatred. Which is awesome because I wouldn't want to be depressed at all the good A's I was missing out on.

Yeah, it wasn't my intention to use a dark trap on a strong cocoon but that was the first one I ran into and I couldn't move forward in the Den without using my (free) dark trap (try).
