I just got a Sky Dragon from my Epic Dark Summon then I did a regular Dark Summon and got another Sky Dragon. I'm unhappy with the results as I already had an A+ Sky Dragon and an A Sky Dragon.

Looking at the weekly battle prizes, I'm still trying to figure out why they think 2 epic dark summons is better than 3 rank A summons. Then again, they also thought a slumbering breath spirit was better than 3 summons, so I guess I shouldn't be confused.

Maybe, but since you're probably at least 99.5% likely to not get a AA out of it, I think I'd rather have the extra monster.

They definitely do have a better chance of summoning a AA, couple of forum users have gotten AAs from epic dark summon.

i have gotten an equivilent amont of great horned warriors through through regular summon as through Rank A summon. i was pissed. by the way, the number is 3 of each...
