Critical Rate Up

Ok Im running on a Winged/Wyrm team at the moment.. its pretty good however when i watch the battles lately i have been noticing that Critical Rate Up (which NWD and faf both have) is virtually useless... very very occasionally one of them will do more damage than usual but its like 1/20 chance from my observations.
Im considering dumping the team ans switching to the imp/demon team everybody seems to be favoring... but before I do.. does Crit Up do anything else that Im just not seeing?.. and is imp/dem team all its cracked up to be?

yeh as u can see it
its only increase a chance of ur critical hit rate for 5% which means its not always applied to all of ur attk
only increasing small chance of having crit rate. thats it
