But, perhaps they implemented a system for event information placeholders so that event banners won't be up until an event is actually active. Most likely that isn't it though, and just me being naive

I would have said the monthly anniversary celebration but after looking at the release date it is unlikely (released 23rd feb 2012). Btw the article saying the release date also stated that ATeam is making $1.3 million per month only on iOS (based on a financial report published by ATeam itself in japanese), and that the Android release will probably multiply this number, quite impressive !

They are getting really close to the one year anniversary so maybe it has something to do with that. I hope whatever they do they improve the frontend of the game. Its so low rez and ugly.
I think that the first event I remember participating in had me using Lewd to clear floors. That was partly in the middle of September when I went to my relatives house in Tennesee Getting close...

Didn't Lewd come out at the same time as Asura and Bayard? that first tower event where Anna was reward, and NWD was tower collection mon for Sin.

Maybe it's a doomsday countdown, and when the clock strikes 0 everyone's party will get erased in a tragic summoning accident. Then everyone can buy new dark summons and summon another party!

Yeah, you are right I forgot we went in the winter too to Tennessee. Does anyone else feel they have been playing for a year?
Seriously, they need to improve the front end of this game or they will suffer in comparison to the other card games. The art of the cards are cool but the low rez and the front end could use some polish with some of that money they have made off of the game =)

Okay, it seems the countdown is for a 2 million download celebration, which will involve 100 SP daily dark summons, according to notifications sent to my phone.

It could be wrong. The notification did not specifically say it was for the countdown, I'm just assuming it is. I guess we'll see in a few hours. :3
