Matching guild to monster type?

I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere.. Is there a benefit to matching your monster type to your guild? In other words, since I'm Rancor, do I gain any kind of benefit from using Covert monsters, vs. Impulse or Psycho?

Well no, if youre rancor and make à team of impulse, you will have impulse combo bonus, no difference if you make à team of covert, Still getting +10% atk +10% def in both cases

Only benefit I can think of is that the special events often give guild specific rewards. So basically, if you're Rancor, you'll have an easier time getting some strong Covert monsters.

I've seen some posts here (maybe in the "rage quit" section) along the lines of "I'm Rancor and my Dark Summons haven't given me Covert monsters, so I'm screwed, and I quit!" Was wondering.
