Toggle Signature / control signature

The signature length on this forum is getting completely out of control, some of us like to read threads without having to deal with the page long monstrosities that are becoming ever so popular. If possible, I would love to see an option to turn off view of signatures or, even better, limit the size of signatures.

Thanks, I know people like them a lot, but there are some who don't, would be best for both worlds if we could choose to turn them off per account.

the turn off per account is a great idea, but i should note there currently is a limit to the amount of text that you can have in your signature. it's actually why i have so many bitly links in my sig, so that i can fit everything in there. i still support implementing an option to stop your own account from being able to see signatures because said text can be used to link images galore making for one obscenely long signature. actually, i would really appreciate it if any other animators would offer to help with making animated signatures on request, so that we can fit as much information as possible in a relatively small image, thus doing our part to manage sig size in addition to anything the admins and mods may come up with.
