Does anybody understand the bingo?
What do they mean with 1st, 3rd, etc. LINE bingo? Are they talking about a cell number or...?
The picture only displays a matrix with 5 x 5 cells. I am confused (happens alot with this game - still having fun). :-)

When you get your first bingo you get some extra squares, then your second bingo you get an item, third bingo = more squares, lather, rinse, repeat.
I think someone had a way to do this that lets you clear the board, but I don't recall.
It also is luck of the draw, since many of the items on there are "no item" = one more square to pick that turn.

Re: Does anybody understand the bingo?
lol, borix, ever played bingo in real life? in bingo, the object is to complete a straight vertical, horizontal or diagonal(only two diagonals, from opposite corners) line and cry BINGO! in real life bingo, you would have a few people, each with their own board, and the one hosting the game would draw numbers randomly from a bowl and call them out; players make a mark on their board if their board has the number called.
in dark summoner, bingo is a little bit different. each day, we can pick any one square we like and open it. the square will contain an item or a soul or a summon OR an extra square(or two) that we can open that day. each time we complete a bingo line, depending on it's number(the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc) we either get two extra squares or a set reward. upon completing the board, we get a summon(either a free dark summon or an A summon). pretty simple stuff, really, lol

Yes I played bingo but that was a long time ago. Actually I mostly played 'Kien' which is the exact same thing only you now shout 'Kien' (duh...). I think this is a Dutch thing.
But I think I get it now. In the 5 x 5 matrix you have 5 horizontal, 5 vertical and 2 diagonal equals 12. Jeej I did math.

Re: Does anybody understand the bingo?
it's fairly easy. start with a diagonal, do the other diagonal next.
after that, pick any of the lines that will give you 3 squares to make the line (any but center horiz, or vert)
next, pick a line with only 2 (there are now 2 of them)
complete the line with only one left.
and so on.

Re: Does anybody understand the bingo?
Just wanted to thank everyone for the info, I wasn't sure exactly how it worked (had been wondering the same thing about in 7 days it'd be impossible to clear w/ 1 square a day). Much appreciated!

i noticed that you only got 1 square to start off with. in bingos past they give you 2 on day 1

Huh. Does anyone know the prize for completing it?
I would assume an 'A' rank summon, but I hope not (I've never gotten a single decent monster from one of those).

If I remember correctly, the prize for filling the board last time was an A summon.
