Trading, Gifting and Auctions On Hold

The devs have temporarily suspended all trading, gifting, and any new auctions while they make improvements. They will announce at a later time when they will be resumed.

This is some BS. I've got a fair number of monsters in my gift box that I now can't make room for. How about a little warning before completely turning them off.

Rumor is it has to do with a hacker. Supposedly he was able to gift out 1000's of ep to people

ateam should tread carefully whne stopping trade.
before playing DS i played rage of bahamut, they did a similar thing. no trade for 3-4 weeks. then when they brought it back there where new rules such as; to trade or gift with/to anyone you had to be in the same clan for 14days or be allied with the person for 14 days. needless to say hordes of players quit, myself included after selling off hundreds of HP (ep in ds) and all 10 of my SSR cards (AA+ in ds), i wont say how or for what i sold them for, but i got a nice boost in DS as a result
anyway, the long delayed event that many many were looking forward to along with temp trade ban can end with vast numbers of players quitting if Ateam doesnt take care of it fast. youd be suprised at the reasons ppl quit games like this: bored, got scammed, banned, used all thier resources in an event and didnt rank ect ect. if vagrant lands doesnt come at the end of this filler event and trade is banned for an extended period of time i wouldnt be suprised to see many find another time waster game on thier phone.
i like ds a lot, im a battletech fan and usually play that (mechwarrior, me hcommander, battletech table game at the local game store ect) but DS is right there. i have my fingers crossed all will be good

have to agree with leadwing. between work, internship, baby, and life, I really dont have a lot of free time. this game is super convenient because it is so accessible. plus, you really dont need money to get somewhere in the game; although money definitely helps. with these kinds of inconveniences, it does make me want to just quit and try something else. i guess i will hold on and see what happens.

You can still retrieve from your gift box (like if you get a stalactite reward or something), I just did and it worked fine. Glad I banked my first mil this morning too, just in time apparently.

Bingo. It's bad enough this event is happening only because they totally screwed up vagrant lands, and now they've compromised this one by pretty much killing an entire day of the event.

Yes, but because of the timing of the turnoff, the people who had the proggies are west coast/asian folks who are still asleep with them. By the time they wake up, the east coast folks who are waiting for the progs to be returned will be in the middle of Thanksgiving, so like I was saying, this kills pretty much the whole day.

i think they did good imo. was only one day, like i said in RoB they killed trade for weeks the. made it nearly impossible to trade after it was reinstated. and tbh it was worth it to remove the thousands of duped items that were destroying the game, any whos unhappy now, just think how unhappy you would have been if Ateam didnt take care of these issues and the game turned into Who-can-cheat-the-fastest like in RoB. not even who can cheat, but who can cheat the most cause with prolonged cheating eventually everyone figures out how to do it and therefor the game turns into who can do it the most the fastest. again, one of the bigger reasons i started DS, hard to cheat, and pretty decent support. lol i had written the support in RoB multiple times about glitches losing items ect, the support in that game is horrid... count yourself lucky to hear back from them in a few months if at all, and they never fixed anything or compensated players ect. the one time they fucked up an event (similar to what has happened with vagrant lands) you know what they did? they didnt bother with a filler event so there was no event for weeks, they sent out one My Cure Water (my ep in ds). that was it.

No, they didn't, and I'll tell you why. I, and many others, have been bitching to A Team for MONTHS about dupe cheaters. The only response we ever get is their form letter emails. Because if some guys wants to dupe 500 celestial lightnings to give himself a party full of 20s, A TEAM DOESN'T CARE. It's only when the cheaters, for god knows what reason, start playing Robin Hood and sending out massive amounts of EP gifts, that A Team realizes, "Damn, this is monnney out of our pockets, so we'd better do something pronto!".

If they just addressed this problem when it first started, instead of sitting back and waiting until it impacted THEM, there would've been no need for the sort of fire drill we saw last night.

looks like they only shut down the trade and stuff to clean up the items the hackers made :/
