Team building newbie

Hello I'm new to DS and i figured that this would be a good place to ask for some advice.

When i started playing about a week ago it was fairly easy to build a team, just use to best monsters. however now that i've gotton e few a(+) rank monsters(thanks to events and bingo) i cant make a good choice. therefore i would like to ask the following questions.

Should I aim for high or low bp monsters or combine them?

Is it inportant to get formation bonuses, which bonus are the most inportant/gives the biggest boost?

Is there anything else I should know about teambuilding?

Im a lv 27 tyranny player by the way, I could make a list of al my a and higher monsters if that would help you guys give me team advice.

Thanks for the link it certainly gives good advice.

However its quitte ''advanced'' Im playing cusual and not all that compatative. so while its good to know what a perfect team should be like its not what i seek add the moment.

I currently own the following a and higher monsters:

3x horned phantom tiger aa

1x gigas a+

1x lord of massacre a+

1x elf commander a+

1x vicissitude colossus a

1x slaughter bee queen a

1x catoblepas a

1x spear knight gillman a

1x crystal dragon a

1x white winged elite a

1x fafnir a

1x lord of gluttony a

I still dont know if I should be focusing on high or low bp monsters or on which formations.

I just wanna know which I should use, and some advice on what monsters i should try to get. Personly after reading that guide i think pehaps purple brutes would be a good idea cause i already have gigas + elf commander + and white winged elite would this be a good idea ???

Since you are lvl 27, you have time to build. For now assembling a team from what you have:

WWE - Agility is a must, when you can get a 2nd one to evolve it to A+
Gigas+ - IPA
Elf Commander+ DEA
and to bulk it up, throw in 2 of those AA's for higher stats.

You can see my player ID in my signature below, send me an ally request and I can see what Brutes I have around. I know I have some that are going to just get sacrificed into my other cards.

You are going to find combo's help, and you can go from a basic A+ brute team into a Winged Brute team later on, getting many of the 'White Winged' cards.

...and for when you are levelling the skills:

"The thing with the skills is that the higher the skill is, you need to
use higher leveled skills to level higher leveled skills! As in; you can
use (1)s to level your monsters up to (3), and (2)s to level up to (5),
and (4)s all the way to 20 with minimal losses, but you could try
sacrifice 10 (2)s to a skill (10) and fail every single time. Hence the
whole market for skill stacks (4) since those are basically supposed to
be good enough to get all the way to 20 with very few failures."
