Mutation Question(s)

i think i will try with my blobs, horned warriors etc.

After reading this I though I'd try a mutations.
I put a skeleton warrior (c) and a enraged griffin (c) together, and got Kali (b)

That's actually a great idea. I literally have SOOO many Blood Blobs (I got one from an Epic Summon.. Was pissed) and a few Horned. I got more Tiamut's and Fafnir's then Horned. I'll report back in the near future with what I used, and to what results.

i normally sell these anyway. i keep getting them from ally point summons, bingo summons etc.

Just sac'd Green Night Kobold (1x1) and received a Acid Slime + (C+) after about 3 tries

I just tried the 2 Red Kobold and it leveled up. I have done a mutation or 2 but forgot what they were. I will keep an eye on this thread if I find any again

Has anyone confirmed that it needs to be two of the same monster? I went and got about a hundred mixed C ranks earlier and tried mutating them all. About half paired with the same monster, and half paired with different ones.

No mutations on either front, but I plan on trying again when my energy replenishes.

Newbie here, but I may have some stuff to contribute. it may be possible that mutations are more likely at lower levels. When I was below level 10, I recall getting 2 mutations from C/C+ monsters (forgot the specific details though). Afterwards, I haven't gotten a single mutation.

chances of summoning an AA from free dark summon are probably still higher

Has anyone ever seen this happen or is this theory? I was under the impression that mutations would only happen to B+ and below monsters, and were extremely unlikely even for B/B+. I honestly thought this is what the game docs said, but I can't find that now so I can't deny that it might be true.

I have about 19 mutations under my belt. Combined any lvl 1 C's and did get a bunch of B's. Doesn't matter what type of species or color. Only A mutation from C's that I got was Child Of Purification. I never try to mutate them after lvl 1, seems to happen more often at lvl 1 C's.

So, today I was looking through auctions and I saw someone selling 2 carbuncle's saying to mutate them while you can and get your skill spirit. Than on another page someone was selling a single carbuncle and said they got 30 ep for it previously. I looked around on the internet for stuff about mutations and so on and haven't seen anything about carbuncles mentioned in mutations. So, I was just wondering how do you get skill spirits? Do you summon them? Mutate them? Was always curious about it and I could definitely use some skill change spirits hah. There's also a few carbuncle's that I've gotten from doing the Green Dragon wall that i've just sold or sacrificed so if carbuncle's are valuable or do something crazy I'd definitely like to know. Thanks!

CYou get skill change spirits through events or as a weekly ranking reward. Those carbuncle auctions look like scams to me. Imo, their only value is as sacrifice fodder or as a quick gold mine. If I am wrong, someone please post details about what experiments you've done.

Cool, thanks for the response. At least now I know how to get spirit changes now. I also tried to mutate carbuncles into themselves like 10 times with no results for the off chance something happened but nothing did. Thanks again!

I had like 15+ carbuncles from wall and got nothing. Lol.

After re reading this thread I went in and decide to sacrifice malice imp c with severe beetle bug c and I got a B monster with IPA.. Definitely gonna play around with this more

After 7 tried from getting that IPA monster I managed to get a great horned warrior with 2 grudge goblin... Has the odds gone up?
