Other than ally lists, no, sorry, there's no other way to find someone.

Where'd you get the ID from? If it's from an auction, I'd leave a bid on the auction with a c monster and your ID in the notes saying you want to trade. If it's here, leave a note on their post or PM them. Otherwise try every now and then, could be they clear an ally spot and then it gets requested and they are full again before you got there... GL!
