What do you think the new type will be?

Alien - seems far fetched.

No to alien. I think it's dumb to have a whole species classified as alien/s.
I really have no idea. Maybe it's going to be something game changing, from the sound of the description. Or maybe something with new skills.

as far as we have been made aware it's not a new species(brute, demon, etc), but a new type(impulse, covert, etc). and alien, while far fetched, wouldn't be too strange as a type.

I'm thinking it's not a type (beast/brute/demon) but rather class - like a "white" that can be special evolved from two of the same name, but different colors, a la the Soraluna.

val, you're confusing type with species. species is beast, brute, demon. type is covert, impulse, psycho. re-read the announcement ingame. mentions "a new type that will challenge sin, rancor, and tyranny". not that will challenge demons, wyrms, etc.

I thought it was a new guild initially, probably because I read the news. And then I thought it must be a new species, because a new guild is not at all useful to the existing player base, unless they are going to sell a "Switch Guild" potion in the store for 5000 soul points.

Is it not a new guild, like Armitaage said, rather than a new species?

Maybe the developers just told the PR dude, "we're going to release a new type", and he made up the whole "challenge the Impulse, Psycho, and Covert" bit because he thought it sounded cool.

Mecha, I feel, can be a guild or a species. Or Mecha can be the guild and Machine could be a new species. If they were so inclined to do so of course.

Nothing organic about fortress engine that I've been able to see, and that's definitely a creation. But I suppose the devs might make it mecha/machine, however much I may doubt that, lol.

Carbuncle.

Take all existing cards and mix with a cat, BAMPF whole new guild.

much like the Skill Reset Book, for #SP you can buy a Carbuncle Switch Book and become a lvl whatever Carbuncle master.

On the up side, whatever they do IF it is a new Guild, and people can switch out...there may be a fire sale of Sin/Covert/Psycho cards as people swap over.

It won't be another new guild completely, not one that players can choose to be, the already existing guilds are far too established already to even think of that. However; they could be adding in a new guild which is monster only and therefore can avoid the existing guild downs and add a new depth to formation building.

With the recent free AA cards my guess would be 'Pornstars'.

Kidding off course - I would have no idea but I am eager to find out what they will change.

Well covert seems to favor earth, Psycho favors water,and sin favors fire. Seems like air would be the next logical step. Maybe spirit.

Hoping these are positive changes either way, but not holding my breath.
