Update Preventing use of BS

So I use BS for the PC because I do not have a smartphone. For about the past month DS has been prompting me to update but BS does not support that. Today I logged in using BS and the update is required but I cannot get in. In all honesty if I can not get the update some how without losing everything I quit.

PS. I am using "BS" because I do not want unscrupulous people using the program improperly.

I was unable to update at first, but eventually it let me. Just don't update from the play store, use the other one that came with BlueStacks.

Bluestacks is horrible for trying to do DS, I used it once to rescue my old account (left 200 raid crystals on there) and it was an hour I wish I could get back.

heck it would be simpler to just buy a $70 android tablet and play on there...

I haven't had any issues. Only thing I noticed is that my IID (to rescue account if I ever have to reset the program or whatever) is different now than the one I wrote down when I opened the account. Not sure why that is, but I have both written down now just in case.

are you running a pc from 1997 or is it just bloated with program/etc ?

on a friends PC,
i can install BS and get a account(or recover one) on there in under 10 minutes. he has a 1.5 yr old cheap dell, its of course not as smooth as on the phone but workable

i wont use my pc as example cause i run 12 cores with 32 gb ram :/

Excellent point. If you want to play the game on a PC Emulator, go for it. Don't be surprised when it dies, account is banned, etc etc, lather rinse repeat.

*psst* no one cares how many cores you have, I ran the attempt I tried on a server that costs more than most cars connected at a download speed of 91.56 Mbps...the machine isn't at fault.

I used to run about 20 DS alt account on my PC by using BS and VMW
not a single problem happen
My PC only a 5 years old dual core

I had the exact same issue today. I had to delete and reinstall
BlueStacks, then run the apkdad version of Dark Summoner (thanks
bacsiha!). Nothing else I tried worked.

It did reset completely, so I needed my Player and IID info. If you don't have that, I think you're done.

clam down bud, i mean no disrespect

as the op says, some people only have a pc and no phone to play on, you had a bad experience with BS on your pc but that does not make the program trash, i was merely illustrating that in contrast to your experience i have worked with bs on varying platforms and from what i can see, any half decent pc can run ds on bs, though some were slower than others but all were workable in fact on my own pc there is no perceivable performance difference between the pc and my galaxy s3.

and fyi i myself do not play on the pc, i ran it for some tests regarding transfers and other stuff.

and also internet speeds have very little to do with whether the program runs, the game works fine even at narrowband speeds, what it does have to do with is your processing speeds, because the emulator has to emulate a arm/mips processor and associated parts/programs that makes the emulator run.

vitual desktops usually 1-2 running
oh and games, lots of games

the update worked fine for me on bluestacks though.

I did a BS update, too. it did force me to create a bogus google account, but other than that, no problem.

I know people in Dassault who work on solidworks, it's a lovely system (which I would consider pretty high praise coming from me, since I was hardline autoCAD guy for the longest time)


I was just surprised initially because that sounded like an industrial grade system rather than a pc; but it sounds like you're putting it to appropriate use!

yea i had experience with autocad too, but after getting more used to solid works i found that it was a very solid(lol) program.

anyways i built the pc piece meal,aside from the work load the biggest reason for the large number of resources is that i usually dont turn the computer off, its literally on for months at a time, having very large amount of reasources means that i can keep going even after lots of memory leaks, program crashes and other problems associated with having a pc on for a long time. in addition the large amount of ram allows for a ramdisk to be created, for use when u really need to zipp through some work.

I used BS and I had the update issue. Lost my Kanna and Ring Dragon. I should try and retrieve it.

In the future, on this PC here (The kanna is on a different pc), any suggestions so I dont run into this problem again?

just make sure you have your data transfer information available, and saved. I take screenshots, in case of retrieval issues.

Yall almost gave me a mutherfuckin heart attack. So far, everything is okay.
