I don't completely agree on this. As long as you have some patience, leveling skills yourself is free and not incredibly difficult to obtain the sac monsters in a somewhat timely fashion; exceptions being species down, dodge, health, revive, heal, and the 3 epic skills. High level players buy skill stacks because it's easier and faster than doing it manually; unless you are, in fact, high level with more than enough EP to rank in events, you aren't going to want to spend your hard-earned EP on skill stacks.

So, no, leveling skills yourself is cheaper than buying stacks in most cases.

Make a child of Pit as an example
to max skill him, you need at least 20 stack. and you can easily sell AGI stack for 4ep on leader board. So in the end to max him you waste about 80EP
but you can buy the pit already maxed skill on the leader board too, easily, with a price around 40EP

My first and only (20) is Vanessa of the Night. My NWD is (18).

My DCC+m, that I just finished. Peddling for stacks is exhausting, but I'm glad I leveled it from 1-20 on my own. Now for sweet revenge on those who took advantage and farmed me!

First was pit+m20 follow closely by asura+m20. It was a pain in the *** to get them there. This was back when skills just came out and took awhile before people discover the skill stack bit. Wasted so many by saccing singly around skill 8-10. It was nice to finally get them to 20 took a long time but well worth the effort.

Skills are selling at weird price. Stacks are selling often for more than the m20 as bac said. I stop making s20 unless I'm going to use them for that reason. Its easier to sell the skill stack for more than the s20 monsters. Back when they were rare that was profitable but no longer as many people have switch forms and the s20 are more common place. The exception are the AA+ species down. Those command a premium price but they are a pain to build.

First was Kotone reg max IPD(20). Traded Adan reg and Nyar reg when they were newish. The Kotone was worth 550ish at the time. Adan around 200 and nyar 180. (20) was rare.

Adan, all the way from a pair of As.

I had failures at 8, 14, and 15.

While wheeling and dealing for stacks I ended up with 3 5's, all +M(5), so I saved those for the end, and was happy to see my 4-5-5-5 all skill up.

He ate 8 stacks! Now in about to finish pit but he already ate 10 :/

just got my first (20)... I got my pit+ there very recently a week or two, I think. it was just before vagrant lands started.

I don't remember quite how many failed stacks I had, but not as many as some of you.

time to do some more work on my flame kag next.

EDIT - I lied.... my Beelzebub is closer than my MLD. I'll have to see which one wins. they are at 18 and 17 ATM.

I just finished my 1st (20). Purple Flame Weaver. Got it on floor 200 of a tower event, +'d, and leveled the whole thing. The rest of my team is close behind. By weeks end I'll have my first (20) team! Then I'll have time to slowly do the same with my demon and creation team.

I Maxed a Meryle+ that I summoned through sheer luck. Only one stack failed, so I thought that that was common. Nope, all the other cards ate a ton of stacks.

my first (20) was Hell's underworld train. did it yesterday !!! woot there goes my chu chu train wrecking like a truck-size bullet. its skill is ipd.

Just got my first, Glamorous Alraune to (20). Her skill was (13) when I first had her. I ate like 3 stacks with her but after that it was fine except maybe one other and I made sure to use the stacks only mainly during no events. The last monster stack I sacrificed was kind of useful, a Venus Monster Trap + (23bp), but psycho crawlers aren't in demand asfaik and there was no event going so I might as well had tried. I feel good about it and I think the skill raises in percentage by 2 at the last increase. It's like 5% to begin with, then like 1% more with each increase, so 20 would be 19 more however the skill has 25% effect maxed.

I currently have a skill reset in auction. My top bid contains 4 strong monsters & 25 energy potions. Anyway, the best monster is a lvl. 70 Hell Ice Dragon with a Decrease Enemy Attack level of 20. Probably will be the winner. Will be my first maxed skilled monster.

I have personally skilled up 4 monsters through evolution to skill 20.

1) Cannonfire Demon DEA
2) Flame Kag DED
3) Child of Pit AGI

and finally, the pain in my A$$, My Lotus Spirit Doll. I had more failures than sucesses in skilling it up.

I finally have maxed one card, lol: a Child of Purification (20). I still haven't even used it in a team. Just seems so, so pointless. But I am about to max a Child of Pit, it is currently at (18). I haven't had very good luck with stacks and skl lvl'ing my cards up for the past two months. I have had 6 (4) stacks fail to get my Pit's skl lvl up to (19). Oh well

On attack I am using Blood Blob+55(20) as my leader in the team in my sig. You should be able to do something similar with Purification, just keep it below max level so it attacks after your Quad (you don't want the Quad to wake up what your Child just slept).

You can probably run this and beat any A+ team, including the 150BP teams:
