Dark Stalactite?!?!?

So they just announced a new event to replace Vargrant lands.
How are your feelings on this??

Personally I'm kinda pissed that this is another EPS orientated event as it says that we must do "most recent missions" for a chance to find dark stalactites?!?!
However, I may be wrong and it could be a BPS mission event kinda like the dragon wall event?
Aside from that, the name of this even sounds completely absurd!

nope, all the "do latest missions" are who-can-burn-the-most-ep-events.

my thoughts? im pissed at Ateam as i worked to get and max multiple progs and stack my bp high for the event. this is like a total slap in the face to me.

I did the same and maxed 2 progs but I have a different outlook. Not to totally Pollyanna all over the forum but this is the best I have ever done in 5-10 minutes of play. ATeam may be perceived as greedy, evil, etc. you pick the adjective, but the gifts given out for their error were pretty cool in my book. I SERIOUSLY doubt they have all this egg on their face on purpose and putting up an event rather than leaving all in limbo seems to be a reasonable compromise for the delay. The progs will be good for 2 events so nothing has actually been lost except time and I used mine to do some major housekeeping, farming, and leveling up.

They can slap me in the face like this again and again. I can take it.

Not sure what makes you think this. What stops them from releasing a new set of profs when/if they bring vagrant back?


I agree that the compensation is nice though and also do mind seeing those players who positioned themselves for a BP event scrambling a little.

The backlash that A-Team would face plus the loss of players. Look for this event to probably be a short pass the time until they figure out what they screwed up event, then Vagrant. Progs for both events.

I'm hoping the somehow manage to keep the same event reward monsters..........

Pretty sure they're still going to do Vagrant Lands. This event is just put there to fill the void. Nothing in the announcement points to a situation any different than that.

Anyone else experiencing major technical difficulties with DS? The entire app is down. I can still access it but nothing is working correctly. And I mean nothing.

I just going by what is says in the in-game news release.

"The Event Specialists for the Vagrant Lands will also be Event Specialists for this Event..."

the keyword as I read is "also" meaning both events.

Yeah fair enough, as long as they do keep the progs same for both event.

I guess its fair enough as they did gift out like 20 eps so we can use them for this event

YES! There's a clan collection in this event too!
IMO that makes it even better than Vagrant Lands, + we get all those my EP to spend... good deal to me, lol.
Drops of Darkness remakes is always better than the Mobius remake, but maybe that's just my opinion.

This new event is a lie. I am SIN , I've got Aya+ as leader, done like 30 steps on last mission map with energy consumption 12/step - didn't got single drop

difficult to get 2 summon and all that"s B monster !

I used 2 stratiloshit summons as well, got B's. Wtf? I thought u'd get the event monsters they listed not some random monsters....

I don't know about you guys, but the Bone Smash Ettin I got from the stalactite summon is pretty amazing.

I have had this too. Don't think the prog works. Mine is also A+ but getting almost no drops.

Drops with or without prog+ are almost the same for me

On a side note, I see the event monsters in auction. So these summons are like dark summons with added event monsters in the pool. I was under the impression that since most of us get 8 summons from this event (unless u spend ep like crazy and go over 10k) we should at least get a rank A event monster. Not satisfied with this.

Also, the "progs" arent doing much for me.

The prog isnt suppposed to increase your chances of getting the drops, it +10's the number of drops you get.

yeah progs helping me very little. sold most of mine and kept just one, considering selling the last one too as theres only the slightest chance in hell they will use same prog for 2 events. we are talking about Ateam here. yeah they nerfed big time, im sure the summons on this event for the event monsters have around the same chance to summon event A/AA as it was going to be in the Lands event, big difference is that you will only be summoning a FRACTION of the amount that any would have in the mobius remake. so thats a fail there.

on a related note, wtf, so they figure they will change the weekly rank rewards to skill spirits and its all dandy in that department as well? pft, thats another slap in the face. anyone whos already in rank has almost 0 chance as the battle system stands now. those spirits are most likely going to go to new/alt accounts.

overall, im pretty fucking disappointed not only that Ateam couldnt fix the Lands event seeing as its cookie cutter of mobius and they do cookie cutter events all the time (lol this new event is copy and paste of drops of darkness, seemed to have no trouble there did they...), but also dissapointed in thier decision on how to best handle the aftermath of thier fuckup. following a fuckup with two fuckups isnt a solution in my book...

A-Team did well in the way they handled this situation, things break when you take already established code and add in ranking changes; if you don't understand the mechanics of how the development works you shouldn't make comments on the situation. They gave us a filler event on very short notice rather than making us continue to wait, and also gave out a decent amount of my EPs to make up for the mistake. They will still be having the vagrant lands event and the only people who should really be mad about it are the ones who prematurely changed their stats to Battle Points.

This is not an MMORPG where they can have a beta test and validate the changes against a mock player base, it's a phone game...there is only so much that they can do to prevent issues like this.

*edit* note to those who aren't happy with progression results, it's 100% RNG and some people will have bad luck some days.
