So, after some testing on preemptive strike I came up with this idea for a demon team:

Shadow Domain Demon+ (Pre-emptive)

Lewd Twist+ (Pre-emptive)

Astaroth+ (Pre-emptive)

Sear Djinn+ (Pre-emptive)

With of snakes+ (slumbering breath)

So, your still here, right? Good. If you have made it this far, you have either figured out the trick or you are intrigued to hear about it. Basically, all your pre-emptives will go first, every time. Even against agi(20). I have tested this thouroughly and yes, pre-emptive DOES "stack", everyone on your team that has it will go before your opponent.

Since your slumbering breath goes last, it will hit the best guy they have left to ensure that next round, most (if not all) of your team will strike first again to finish the job.

I do not have this team yet. I will start trading for some components for it soon, I just wanted some intput, has it been tried before, ect. before I start blowing ep on stuff. Also, are there better pre-emptive demons than any of these? Any way to get better than a 3x combo with a lot of pre-emptive?

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure it'll really work. First off, by putting all your skills on prestrike, you will miss out on skills like IPA or DED, which probably means you won't get OHKOs on a vast majority of monsters, especially if the other team has DEA or IPD, which are quite common. Also, since you get only 3 combos and these monsters don't all have magnificient stats (also the other team probably has IPA or DED or both), all your monsters will get OHKOed.

Let's put that team agains a pretty standard team, sin demons. Do not forget that prestrike activates only on first turn.

Turn 1

SDD (leader)..................Flame kag DED(leader)
Lewd.............................Balrog COV
Astaroth..........vs..........Spite DEA
Sear..............................Asura IPA
Snakes..........................Pit AGI

1. SDD attacks Pit ---> killl
2. Lewd attacks Asura ----> no kill (because DEA)
3. Astaroth attacks Asura -----> kill
4. Sear attacks Spite -----> no kil
5. Flame kag attacks Lewd ----> kill
6. Balrog attacks Snakes ----> kill
7. Spite attacks Sear ----> kill

Snakes gets killed before using slumber breath

Turn 2

SDD (leader).....................Flame kag (leader)
Astaroth.............vs...........Balrog
........................................Spite

1. Flame kag attacks Astaroth ---> kill
2. Balrog attacks SDD ----> kill

The other team wins easily

The more I think about it, slumbering seems to be the weak link here. I guess that skill really is the most useless in the game. I kinda spaced that it wouldn't go off until it was snakes turn. derp.

I REALLY want to make a preemptive strike team work, there is so much potential in that ability, but no matter what for the team to work you need 4 pre-strikers that can one-shot, using only 3 to make room for other abilities won't cut it. Cutting down to 2 and using agi, IPA, and DED would give you some consistency and a slight edge against someone running only agi and no pre-strike, and you could get up to 4xcombo in the process, but then that isn't a pre-strike trick team. It's just the same demon team with a couple guys swapped out, and honestly there are already people probably running that team.

Meh. Oh well.

I thought it was interesting, though Kheimon is right, but there might be some improvement here. I think it might be a good idea to switch Snakes with Greed Mammon for its IPA and stronger stats so it can have a higher chance to one hit KO monsters. Maybe sub Djinn out for another higher bp monster, Naga General, who also has Pre-strike. In all, I like this idea of having formation filled with Pre-strike monsters. Its different and barring a few monsters, its pretty cheap to build. Good for starters.

If you're going to try this you might as well go with naga general as your 5th and get the skill bonus to defense. It doesn't help that much but with 5 preempt you have a better chance than 4 and slum.

This was theorycrafted way back when skill spirit was announced. People were expecting a preempt spirit which didn't happen but the concensus was that a pure preempt team won't work unless its strong enough to take out 4 of the opponents team on the first wave of attack.

It goes something like this, if your preempt team can only take out 3, than opponents first turn will take out 2 of yours as they have attack bonus and the preempt monsters are weak in stat. In the second round, they get to go first as they will likely have agility whereas you don't and they'll take out another 2 of yours. Your counterattack will take out 1 of theirs so at the end of round 2 is 1:1 and they again have the initiative to go first and likely stronger attack so they'll end up winning. If at the end of round 2, you have 2 to their 1 than you'll likely win and you have a better chance at that with the defensive bonus from having all the same skill than a fifth monster with a different skill.

You best chance at pulling this off is if you're psycho as the guild bonus added to SDD+ and Lewd+ give them a good chance at one shotting 2 of the opponents and the reminding 3 having a decent chance at taking out maybe 2 more if you set up your formation right or at the very least one more and hope that enough of them will survive round 2 that you have a 2:1 advantage.

It will be interesting to see someone try this. I would if I have SDD+ but as she is way overprice, I'm not looking to get it.

I like flying dagger's idea of using Greed mamon for IPA and switch Sear Djin for Naga general. It might actually make this team viable. As Kyan stated, tyranny is probably the best guild to run that formation since it has 2 of the 4 prestrikers.
If I hadn't sold my SDD recently, I would totally try it out, just for the sake of it.

After IPA (20), these guys get (as psycho guild):

Astaroth 8,669 atk
SDD 14,352 atk
Naga gen 8,669 atk
Lewd 9,590 atk
Mammon 10,347

But yeah, the verdict was about the same, even a DED/IPA boosted p-strike combo team would be totally screwed second round unless they knocked out 3+ monsters

I've been thinking about slumbering a little bit. How would targeting work if you had a team of four slumbering and one agility? Would all four slumberings hit different targets even if you were set to target strongest?

No. That's what make slumbering so useless. You can't set it to target different targets and you can't set other team members not to hit the slumbering target as well. So the best that can be use is set your slumbering as the last one to go and it will sleep one of your opponent for 1 round.
