Question about EP/eXP ratio.

I have only been playing DS for about a month, so the event that was going on at the time I began was the drops of darkness event. I was just wondering, is this the first event where the missions actually give more exp than the energy cost?

Do you think the 11EP/12EXP ratio is worth investing the EP's for slightly more efficient leveling, especially if you are shooting to get into the reward ranks?

This is the second in two months. Previous one was Death Flute Labyrinth. There probably was another before, but I only started playing then.
At the beginning, the XP boost is good. But after 200 floors.. it gets worse and boss xp gain resets to the same as floor 1. You need 200+ floors to rank in at bottom rank.

yeah well i'm currently on 226 with plenty of EPs to spare. i figured since i got this far already, i might as well go for the 2 rank b summons, my EP, 20k gold, and 3000 AP for 4001-5000. Or i might get lucky if some ppl just get tired of the den and revert back to normal missions. plus i have like 9 dark traps left.


man, that's even without a progress monster cuz dark summons hate me.

The dark traps are definatly worth using however you do not need ot wate EP in doning so the amount of energy you get per day should allow you to use these up with out EP. after the 200th floor unless you are going for a top rank ( not 4k-5k ) or more cocoons don't bother wasting your EP here trust me when I say you'll be better off savining it for another event

yeah i stopped when i saw i wasnt really rising at all in the ranks. i did however manage to place 77th in the weekly rankings w/ about a dozen BP. i dont really care about the garbage 3bp prize i just thought it'd be cool to make it on the first page.
