Battle orders for your team?

What do you use? I assume that "target the lowest HP" makes most sense, since it gives you the best chance of knocking out an ennemy. But what exactly does "battle freely" do? Is it random or does the AI attempt to make the best attack?

Battle freely is a random attack for each of your monsters. Sometimes it will hit all five of the other team, sometimes you will kill one or two and do damage to the remaining. Think of a random number generator 1-5 for each of your attacks. 20% chance that it will attack the same monster your 1st one did.

I also use the target lowest hp attack. It makes more sense to knock out as many opponents as possible before they get a chance to attack.
