WiFi turning on by DS Empty WiFi turning on by DS

I just upgraded DS - not sure when it came in - and now DS is turning on my WiFi whenever I log in.  Does anybody have any idea if there's an option to turn it off?  This is happening even when I'm nowhere near a WiFi hotspot (that I know of).

No, no option to turn it off(on Ice Cream Sandwich anyway), the way I manage it is by using a third party app called Llama. I set quite a few events that check if I'm in range of my carrier's cell towers that are near my home. If I'm not near one of those and I open or close DS, it forces wifi off. I've sent an issue report about this to GTeam, but so far they have not done anything. Perhaps if we all bomb their inbox with complaints, they'll remove this "feature" which makes absolutely no sense for a game meant for MOBILE devices.
