Beginners Efficiency thread
I'm a guy who appreciates a more efficient way of doing things. And if there's one thing that card gamers are good at, its minmaxing everything from cardstats to time/effort vs Profit/success.
So, to help with that, I thought I'd gather a few quote posts from the forums that have helped me with that sort of thing under this thread. If you have an idea to add, go for it!
Good Luck out there, and even better planning!
Note: All quotes used without permission, but credited to their proper posters. Please forgive me ^^;

On: Quickly gathering sacrifice materials
From: http://www.ds-forum.com/t5224-sticky-collection-of-formulas-for-dark-summoner
Seemed like a noteworthy method to me! Only costs one EP per tap, fairly high rate of getting simple monsters for sacrificing. Lemme know if you find a better way!

For example, lets say you are using the 4:4 method of monster leveling, that is going to area 4 and doing mission 4. The monsters it produces are 4 BP.

On: Evolving those expensive AAs

(last one from that thread, i promise =p)
So, cheapest point at which to evolve an AA is with both of them being at level 27. Great to know for those long stretches between half-price sac campaigns! Thanks Kris!

Rank AA Evolution Cost = 1,120,000 - ( Evolver * 9,900 ) - ( Sacrifice * 900 )
Maximum Evolution Cost is with a Level 1 Evolver and Sacrifice = 1,109,200 Gold
Minimum Evolution Cost is with a Level 100 Evolver and Sacrifice = 40,000 Gold

Normal Sacrifice Cost
As you can see above, leveling an AA up a bit before evolving it can save you a lot of gold. Unfortunately, sacrifices cost more gold the higher you level your monster. The formula above shows that for every level the Evolver raises, the cost for the evolution decreases by 9,900 Gold.
Therefore, we want to level the monster up only while the cost of leveling is less than the decrease in evolution cost. I've found that sacrificing 10 junk cards usually raises my monster level by about 2, so we would want the cost of sacrificing those 10 cards to be less than 19,800 Gold.
The cost to sacrifice 10 cards at a time is: Cost = ( Monster Level + 1 ) * 550. Solving for the cost to be equal to 19,800 gives level 35. However, TzaGear pointed out that I didn't include the opportunity cost of selling those monsters. If you use the 4 BP monsters that come from Area 4, you miss out on selling them and Gaining 4,000 gold. Using this, the most cost effective leveling strategy for AAs before evolution is to bring them up to level 27.
From this I found that it is most cost effective for you to level your AA monster up to level 27 before evolving it. Any less and you spend more for the evolution, any more and you are spending more for the leveling than you would have for the evolution.

It's important to note there is much variation in AH prices with events, so this has to be taken as a gross estimate rather than a perfect matching system. [Thanks to silentsong for pointing that out]

This is extremely dated, as the value of gold is now effectively worthless as there is no way to trade it. These numbers also fluctuates heavily. Following the last event (gave lots of gold rewards), I put an auction up for 20mil and it got me the second spot on the first page.

Owch, good point Faith. Thanks for the heads up! I knew the market fluctuated, but I completely forgot that it would be radically different since they did that. Oh well~

Re: Beginners Efficiency thread
this is a good thread imo. but I have a question about optimal plussing of AA. If I don't level them way up before trying to plus them it takes a lot of gold. while I understand how levelling sooner is less expensive, how can I accumulate that much gold at once? any time I leave a decent chunk of gold laying around I wake up the next day and it's been plundered. ateam took away gold banking, right? so, Im just not sure how to get and keep that much gold at once. Have a much stronger team? lol, but seriously
