How much is energy is good for events

When is a good lvl/EP amount to participate in events? What I mean is how many points of energy you have, not actually potions.
I have 484(energy) but Idk if I should dump EP into events just yet, until i have around maybe 600-800 energy. I figure youre wasting ep because if I get 484 energy from one potion, as opposed to around 700 energy from a potion, obviously once Im a higher lvl. Im lvl 81.

484 energy point is enough
after you join event, you will get a lot of lvl then, that's adventage for next event
if you think you will join when you reach 600-800 enery points, when will you can ? 2 months ?
for the question how many EP is enough, let make catacomb event is an example. rank 500 is around 2600 floor, and 1 floor costs you 55 EP (with a prog) from floor 1-2000, and 60 EP from floor 2001
which means total is 55 x 2000 + 60 x 600 = 146000 energy point
divine it to your point (486) , we can have number EP will need : 300 EP
but that is a maximum, because from floor 1-200 you need less EP, and when you do event you can recieved some My EP and My 100 EP that is usefull

yea totally enough,
i did catacomb with ~460 energy, lvl86, using 200something eps to rank 300something, i lvled to 105 but consider what i got out of it, sos easily sells for 40, sos+ sells for 80, i got isaac which sells for 300+, all the lvls i got, the 20 epic ds, 80 A summon, gold from death summoner, nearly 70 my bps, and the event monsters

Thats true but is this event gonna be worth it? It seems less rewarding.

May not make a huge difference but before you look at floor level costs you do have to factor in the initial prog cost too. If you are sin an A+ is often around the 50EP mark. Last event with sos and sos+ made this an easy decision but many will be closer.
