Sacrifice Question Empty Sacrifice Question

If I sac a lvl 10 monster, does the receiving monster get a added benefit from it being lvl 10 or does it receive the base increase from that monsters rank?

Level is irrelevent, as is skill level or rank (sacrificing an A+ vs. a C). BP appears to play some role in how effective a sacrifice is.
