Then a simple "no" will suffice. In which case, I could have increased my side of the deal, incrementally, until we were both happy. If you went into a trade with all of your good cards on the table from the beginning, you stand to lose more than you went in with.

If you could get marbas+, I have jiangshi+ crit+ 4 i could trade. Otherwise i have a paimon, abyss, skeleton mino, and black gear wraith that I can trade any of. Firebrand+ too.

Completely agree with this. You can just counter offer or say no. No need to be aggressive
