New Event?

I just got a notification on my phone saying something like...
"New A Rank monsters acquired through Dark Summon x11. Very useful for current event"
I was under the impression the current event was B rank tournament, so how is new A rank useful? Is there another event going on I don't know about? Or is this something else they probs f*cked on as a con to persuade us to buy Soul Points?

the new As are: DDD, Crystal, Lindwurn
They increase the chance to acquire battle tickets which you'll need in the Bs battle event. : )

Oh I new about those weeks ago, they been advertised on the Summon page for ages.
Given I only just got the notification on my phone I thought there was something new, not something thats about 2/3 weeks old now.
