It varies, but in general, 2 for 1ep, and stacks for 4 or 5.

It's probably better to buy sos at this point for it. Stacks selling at 4-5 is tough. Because I'm picking up sos at 5-6 and they don't fail. So assuming I use sos to go from 6-20, that's 15 sos. That's about 75-90ep. If I bought stacks it would be 60-75. At that rate, I'd break even if I experienced 3 fails. Any more fails and I'm spending more ep than if I had just gotten the sos.

What Edward said has a point, but that's only because SoS are hugely underpriced at the moment (down to the silly rewards for the previous event). I can guarantee you the price of SoS' won't remain that low for a while.
