Yes. Description has AA+ doing 9x attack.

Both... they are doing it, and it IS an error...

i might be more excited if not for the fact that, at the moment, all the cyphers bring to the table are... more demons :-/

I guess I don't really get it... all they do is allow you to maintain a guild combo while not using a traditional formation? But your species and level and whatnot still have to match, right? Oh yeah, and some added bonus of not being subject to a guild down...

*sigh* I suppose I'll have to KEEP waiting for something useful for my formation...

You won't lose the guild combo by using htem, but it won't be picking up the bonus for using monsters from your own guild either.

So you do lose 5.5%, but it will only be from some of your formation.
