Covert Beast formation Question

My formation is:

Labyrinth Minotaur - Critical
Simian -skill changed to Increase Party Attack
Bayard -Agi Up
Achlis - Preemptive Strike
Beast Soul - Decrease Enemy Defense

All skill level 20. I was wondering aside from AA's if there was any card worth swapping due to skills. I have a Guison with Health Up but truth be told I don't know how valuable that is. The only weaker skill I see would be Critical from my Minotaur.

Thanks in advance and also is there a specific card I should set to leader?

Mysterious Sentinal and Scorch Behemoth have no skill but have really nice stats.

If you are looking for skilled you could get a Piercing Behemoth (Psycho Down) and White Wolf Sets (Demon Down) but that Demon Down is a fortune to level now. If it were me I would toss in a Scorch Behemoth/Mysterious Sentinel and the Piercing Behemoth. You always want the monster with the highest attack and lowest hp in lead slot, everyone uses attack lowest HP so you want to make sure your glass cannon is saved for last.

Go to the visual bestiary in my Sig, it will let you build a team and will show you all covert beasts available with full team stats.

Hey thanks man. I was able to get a Sentinel+ m for 30 EP (I may have overpaid but sometimes it's fine to pay for convenience). So I guess really my Achlis is the only monster that's next up to replace if I ever decide to. I'm not sure if it's worth getting my Gusion's Health Up to 20 and replacing my Achlis though; I'm not sure how valuable Preemptive Strike is.

I would swap out achlis for Gusion. I personally LOVE health up. Sentinel is excellent too but the Achlis has to go. Health up can be a pain to level up... but in the long run it can pay off.

honestly, i would toss out both, gusion AND achlis, as preemptive strike is only worthwhile on monsters such as SDD and Lewd, that can actually kill something in one shot. as for health up, it's effect in A+ teams, which hardly have any health to begin with, is negligible; it rules the AA+ game but, as AA+s have infinitely more health, that's like comparing apples to bananas(not oranges, oranges are at least round, like apples). the A+ game being what it is, i'd personally run bayard+, cetus+, sentinel+, beast soul+, and the piercing behemoth+. the only real downside to that team is the AA+ sized bp cost that exceeds 140.

Personally wouldn't go for gusion unless you're planning on doing some sort of AA/A hybrid covert beast team in the future.

Don't get me wrong; Health Up is great, but in an A+ team it's practically useless. There's some guy I farm for honor on a daily basis who runs BSK(lead), Simian, Gusion, Cetus, Bayard all (20) except simian; and I can assure you that health up(20) does nothing spectacular for an A team. And that's maxed out. Running health up in an A team in the vast majority of circumstances is wasting a skill slot due to the offensive orientation of most As.

Otherwise I can't really advise too much on A rank covert beasts. I knew the formation at some point (when bsk was released in mobius) but many many many more covert beasts have been released to the point which idk what the current best is with swap outs etc... but don't spring for a gusion unless your intended endgame is a AA/A hybrid covert beast team. If you're planning on all AAs one day, just wait for prices to go down and new monsters to be released and get a health up AA. Maxing health up on an A is a truly unrecoverable investment
