Dark Summoner Themed Cocktails
so.... not much going on on the forum,
everyone's somewhat unenthusiastic with stalactites, awaiting vagrant lands; and somewhat (rightfully) cynical about if that's ever even going to happen
so how about some monster themed cocktail recipes?
I came up with a couple on the fly thinking about what sorts of drinks/flavors matched monster's themes (like WWSP is kinda islandy pina-colada themed, or quetz looks like a minty mojito, blood flame = spicy bloody mary, etc...)
5 Malibu Pineapple Rum
1 Whaler's Dark Rum
1 Coconut Cream
sugar (fine sugar is better! but not powdered sugar)
garnish glass with sugar, mix Malibu and Coconut Cream, pour, then fill glass with dark rum, give one gentle half-stir with spoon to produce 'swirl' of dark rum through glass
Cristal (Crystal) Dragon
2 Cristal
1 Alize Bleu
pour Alize, then fill glass with champagne, garnish with blueberries
Cruzan Single Barrel
Seltzer
half a lime per serving
1 tablespoon of sugar per serving
several mint leaves
crushed ice (the finer the better)
kiwi slice
crush mint leaves with the back of a spoon until they turn dark green, squeeze half of lime over mint leaves, put sugar, rum, and lime/mint mixture, and some crushed ice in cocktail shaker and shake! pour (use strainer to keep ice and leaves in shaker), and top off glass with seltzer. Garnish with a slice of kiwi
2 Ketel One
3 Tomato Juice
pinch of celery salt
1 tablespoon of hot sauce per serving
2 black olives per serving
ice (large cubes preferred)
mix vodka, tomato juice, hot sauce and celery salt, pour into ice-filled glass, garnish with olives
Anybody else have any monster theme/cocktail ideas? or what mixed drink would you make to represent your favorite monster?

Make an appletini (I'm not going to get into the specifics of what brands you should use, because A. I don't make appletinis so I don't know what
specific brands are best, and B. well there isn't really a B, it's mainly A), pour a little cherry liquer on the top for looks, don't stir, let it sink down, and drop two cocktail onions into the bottom of the glass (boobies lol)

drink half the can of Steel Reserve, fill the can back up with Jack Daniels. "enjoy"
MLD (milky and sophisticated)
1 Crown Royale Black
1 Martell VS (VSOP preferred, but VS is fine if that's what you have)
2 eggnog
drop of vanilla extract
light dusting of chocolate powder (like chocolate milk mix)
creme de cacao (optional)
pour whiskey and cognac add vanilla and stir. fill glass with eggnog and let sink without disturbing it, top off with chocolate powder and enjoy!
works pretty well with warm eggnog too! (microwave eggnog for 30 seconds before pouring, if you are using creme de cacao, do not microwave, but
add it to the cognac/whiskey before adding the warm eggnog)

Re: Dark Summoner Themed Cocktails
lol, unfortunately, i don't really drink cocktails, even though i'm certainly old enough to, mostly restricting myself to smirnoff ice(about as much alcohol as beer, but tastes much better), mike's hard lemonade(same as smirnoff ice), and around christmas time, eggnog, lol. even then, i maybe have those once or twice a year, that's it. that said, i couldn't begin to think of a cocktail, but if you can think of non-alcoholic drinks themed after a monster that are actually drinkable, i'm up for trying some, lol.

I'm fairly sure the Crystal Dragon drink is what tupac referred to as "thug passion" (alize and cristal), which is certainly not a criticism
I guess some cocktails without the alcohol work as drinks on their own.
lime juice, mint, soda water, and some sugar would be a minty lemonade, or a mojito if you add rum
or a spicy tomato juice is a spicy tomato juice, which with vodka is then a bloody mary (or blood flame colossus)
that sounds interesting!
I think I might try that sometime, It'd be with cinnamon schnapps rather than rum though (don't have any cinnamon rum)
do you think the grey goose will make a big difference?
I personally have never been too big a fan of grey goose, but I suppose its flavor may suite certain mixtures moreso than the brands I make vodka drinks with (Ketel One, Finlandia)

Re: Dark Summoner Themed Cocktails
I added the new cocktails
Let's hear about some more!
you should try Dole Pineapple Orange Banana, it's like a pre-mixed drink which is perfect for screwdrivers and cocktails, not to mention delicious on its own!

Amarula!
I loooooooooove that stuff, but it's so hard to get in the US! well not really "hard", but I prefer something I can buy in a shop rather than having to order online! excellent suggestion! I really enjoy cream liqueur cocktails and will surely be trying that soon! I've never heard of adding vodka to the typical cream/grenadine combo (which I'm pretty familiar with; usually kahula/baileys/grenadine), but I think the vodka could add a nice kick to that!

Sounds like a really interesting theme drink! The combination looks tasty! I'm not sure if I could do it with the McRib though... I don't have a time machine

Consider it a seasonal cocktail... like a mint julep...

If you don't have Amarula, Baileys works just as good
