AA teams w/max rare skill

Is this topic overkill? Am I the only one thinking about this?

What is everyone's feeling about these soul of skills giving birth to CL/Artic/HellsBlaze(20)?

Will having just 1 monster at full skill kill any A team even if they have agility(20)?

Please feel free to discuss and expand the initial topic if necessary.

The souls don't increase the skill levels on HB/AT/CL, so this topic is moot.

And, Artic(20) hits all mobs in formation. Apparently the skill description changes at (20) too. Because godlike. So...

That said, my Health+, IPD, DEA combo wipes the floor with *any* A+ team, so obviously that isnt the big concern.

What most fear is these skills killing any AA+ team. Which is a very real possibility. For instance, the moon was tested out on Angelinas form and it wiped the floor with her. So, now what?

Ive never been worried about being the best, and there are not going to be a high number to these epic mobs out there, but I am sure Ateam will create something that will put these monsters to shame in the future, trying to milk us for more money, as usual. Just to stay on top.

Oh, and fyi. The souls did not work on those skills the day they were released, then Ateam fixed within a couple hours. Thus the confusion. They do work now tho.

But, about the CL(20) moon sea, he posted that before the event was up, so soul of skills were not used.

It was arctic tempest (20) not CL (20). The thing is u can buy CL but arctic tempest only comes from victoria right? So how many victorias would he need to buy to raise it to 20? I think it's with the souls.
Back on topic, yeah, talk about overkill. No A formation will stand a chance against that. Not sure most AA's will either.

well arctic tempest also comes from pure white spirit, but only one was ever released, lol. so yeah, no wonder vic's price is sky high if she's being used like this(assuming this was not done with souls)

there wasnt enough vics in game to accomplish that without souls iirc there were only 100 vic regs given, most are + now, plus a few more that got out during the flashback summons. would need 3 to get to (4), and then minimum of 80 to get to (20). 5 per (4) stack if no failures. 1 would evolve, and 3 more to get to (4).

No one spent 16,600 ep to make that Moon :p

Given that we just had a slew of people banned for dupe cheating, why does anyone insist that seeing something in the auctions is proof of the skill souls' capabilities??

My thoughts exactly. I've now seen two different Moon Seas, one with CL(20) AND one with AT(20) within the top 5 pages of auction since these soul of skills have come out. That still is not the proof I would need to see to believe that the SoS works on CL, AT, and HB.

smh. How about people using them, and saying it works? The doubling in price of thunder spirit, the ppl buying soul of skills for 35/70 min., when stacks for even the rarer skills are less than 1/2 that.

I haven't personally tested it, but all indications and sources say yes, the souls work on those skills.

Yeah, except for the guy who posted here to say he DID personally test it, and the game TOLD him it would not work on that skill. If that is a bug, it is amazing that a software bug became sentient and explicitly alerted people as to its presence.

He continues to argue... There was an error message when they first came out, and it did fail. Now it works, has been confirmed by multiple people. /story

Yeah, except no one HERE has said they did it and it worked. It's always, "some guy on my wall" or "I saw an auction..."

Look, I hope it does work... because then in 3 months I'll be able to sell mine for 200 ep each... but in the meantime, the standard you people use as "proof", is completely laughable. Doesn't mean you're wrong... just means that maybe you're all a bunch of broken clocks.

Yes, I just saw his updates... and this "catch" he speaks of is what sounds like a bug. Why would A Team let it work EXCEPT for going from skill 1 to 2? It sounds like they didn't intend for it to work, but didn't put in any logic to trap the situation where the skill was already past 1, since this would only happen under "odd" circumstances.

Interesting though... I said it didn't work, you said it did... and it turns out that it doesn't work for skill 1, which covers at least 95% of the people out there... and yet, you consider yourself vindicated? Pretty awesome!

Arctic is a single attack skill. Are you saying that at 20 it becomes aoe? Didn't happen with hell blaze 20 from my discussion with another player who said he had hb20. It seems that people are still confuse over arctic and hb. It was incorrectly reported to be aoe when it first came out and I still see that being posted on AH/forum all the time.

I've had several Vics and mads, so I'm not confused about the skill. The owner of the moon with Artic 20 stated that it became area at 20. No reason to doubt, but seems weird they would make the skill mechanics change like that.

Ateam's post on their FB page: "Also with the Soul of Skills giving many players a Monster with a high-level Skill, a rebalancing of Skill powers is being looked into. Let us know what you think about that below."

Seems like they're looking into nerfing the rare skills...

Really now they are thinking about skill balance. What did they think was going to happen when they throw out those spirits. Everyone saw that coming a mile away as soon as they were added to the database. Goes to show, once again, that devs have no clue what's really going on in their game.

With the exception of being conservative in their release of agility monsters, Ateam has very rarely shown concerns for balance when releasing monsters.
