New Dev notice
Did anyone else think that that notice was written by a teenage troll. Its what I'll expect from a forum rant not a company notice. Its so unprofessional and off putting. I mean Banhammer seriously. Makes you really wonder WTF is going on at Ateam. Are they in serious trouble over the ep hack etc...

Re: New Dev notice
Seems like they're just extremely livid and fed up with all of the abuse going on. Understandable, in my opinion.

I liked it. When you deal with cheaters and trollz you need to use the words they will get.

I thought it was unprofessional as well. I wondered what you guys thought when I first read it. All of the others had been so professional and customer service oriented. It felt like Ateam was really a 15 year old douche keyboard warrior.

Re: New Dev notice
haha! Isn't banhammer the word Halo 3 developers used to describe the gravity hammers they used to literally whack players with and ban them in-game??

Re: New Dev notice
Well, I personally don't care how it is worded. As long as the bleepin' cheaters & hackers get the message and stay away from my beloved Dark Summoner game. The cheaters & hackers should go mess with Rage of Bahamut and leave us Summoners alone. Lol
As far as the comment about the devs probably being livid & fed up, I strongly agree. I don't blame them for being ticked off. They have a lot on the line you know.

Re: New Dev notice
Maybe since the previous notifications didn't seem to lead to a change in behavior, they're attempting to speak the language of their target audience.

Re: New Dev notice
I have not heard of Banhammer since World of Warcraft.
Seeing that ATeam is using it in their Notices did not even phase me.
I was actually surprised that it rubbed some off us the wrong way.
But thinking about it now, I do see that their choice of words is a
bit inappropriate for them to use as a company. I mean yeah, people online
talk as though they have the IQ of a "special" individual, but that does not
mean that ATeam has to lower themselves to that level too. -_-

Re: New Dev notice
Sometimes when someone doesn't get the message (in this case the rule violators), you gotta try talking in "their" language (in this case "gamer talk" for a lack of better term). The Ateam did nothing wrong, the rule violators are the wrongdoers. Anyway, why should rule violators be talked to in a professional tone. Rule violators don't deserve that courtesy.
