Engaging new members into the community
Hello everyone!
As a new player and a new member of the forums, this suggestion stems from my personal experience of the past two days. It would be very beneficial to have a topic devoted solely to to explaining the game to new players. Information about the structure of the game, guilds, clans, maximization of playing time tips, and general must knows would be set up as a sticky by a moderator, along with another stickyfor suggestions. It would be a collabortive project similiar to the monster list.
The likely results from such a beginner introduction would be a higher search engine spot (more traffic to a site usually increases the search spot i believe) and infusion of new members into he forum. For those of us who are brand new, but desire to become a serious active player, this would save us from alot of frustrating google searches and tedious skimming of countless forum posts. The dark summoner ap tries to do this with its help section but fails miserably. I had to glean useful information from random posts. I still do not know all there is to the game. Although a lack of such a helpful introduction will divide the serious from non serious, the trials and errors are an annoyance at times.
So what do you all think?

I agree with this. I've been doing the same things, and a true guide would be amazing. This is pretty much the only source of DS information on the internet, at least that I have found. Fortunately, everyone seems to be happy to help and give information when asked.

We got a lot of into on the wiki already, a detailed guide wouldn't hurt - though most information is already available.
Currently working on the monster lists among other things.
