Special Spirits
What do you guys think is the reason why the pure white, CL and blood red spirits haven't been re-released? It doesn't seem like it is a difficult thing to do and I know people would go apeshit trying to get them, I don't understand why they're not being used by A-team to keep people playing the game.

I can't think of any good reason, other than it's their "ace in the hole" when all other things go south. Seems like we're there though, doesn't it?
Although I think I'd rather see those skills on monsters rather than spirits. Spirits would undoubtedly go to the 1% (of which I'm not a part of). Since they released PS and Agility on AAs in the not too distant past, I'm hoping they'll do the same for those other skills.

My theory as to why you don't see them is because those skills were released at a time when you couldn't level them past 1. I don't think ATeam intended for them to be as powerful as they are when leveled to 20. If those spirits became common, it'd render every other skill obsolete. More like a self-destruct button than an ace in the hole.

but they dont have to be "common", an event with cl, blood or pure spirits given out at top50 for example, would have ppl spending tons to go get it (including me lol). in addition, its perfectly possible to limit the certain skills to (1) just requires a bit of code.ryesteve wrote:My theory as to why you don't see them is because those skills were released at a time when you couldn't level them past 1. All they need to do is introduce a new skill that protects against / counters the effects of CL, and then they have 2 cash cows and a balanced game.

That's a little different. That was an exploit they didn't anticipate, and they patched it in like 2 days. Doesn't make sense that they'd let CL20's exist for a year, and then admit yeah, that was a bad idea after all.

for the record, i dont think they'll do it either, im merely saying its possible and in fact not all that hard to do.
