Figured I'd beat jewelguy...

Clan Wars 2 announced. AAA individual AND clan rewards. Big difference tho.... No tradeable progs. Will this render AAA+m forms helpless to the high spender? And what do y'all think about constant BP events (slightly rhetorical)? Will it be "Prog Wars 2?" Nice AAA rewards IMO... But AAAs are going to need to start varying in BO cost. Anyways... A few thoughts... Officially announced! First response gets 100 EP from ATeam*!!!

The biggest difference is that clans that rank 31st - 100th get shit this time.

Progs not as useful this time, being that their stats, if the same guild, are less than AAA+m. A skilled and combo'd AAA+m will crush a Prog team. Secondly, almost everyone spending this morning to buy summons have been getting the A Progs. This event should rely more on real teams this time, and deep pockets, as always.

Incredible that people are still spending money on this garbage. Must be nice to have disposable income.

I'm sure the players still spending money on this game are a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic - if you know what I mean.

I mean... Progs are blocked from trading. I've spent on this game before the TM and my track record for getting what I need is pretty woeful. I'd usually have to scourer the auctions to get what was required. Now? Why even bother?

I'm still upset about my top 10 clanmates not getting any reward and the shit responses we got from A team.

So after battle 1 in clan wars... I go to event to look at rewards. Upon entering, a shiny badge announces I have a new title... 5 Star General, lol. Other people have also reported various titles. Any speculation as to what they do or mean? ATeam has yet to release an explanation for this. So wanted to get y'all's opinions. I'm hoping it will give a big CP boost based on title

It probably has to do with matchups. General vs. General, etc.

Wow, almost 2 full days, and no messages. I guess ATeam's efforts to kill our interest in these events is working gangbusters...

BTW, my heart goes out to any low BP player out there. Never enough BP to get CP rewards.

It's kind of sad. I have three event teams. 107 BP, 197 BP, and 500 BP AAA+m team. The low BP team (for dead or inactive clans and such) doesn't even use enough BP for chains according to ATeam. Chains are critical to CP gain. For emphasis on point made by lazyStevz. For any one interested... ~250 BP has gained me about 70k CP. Depending on market.... That's anyway from 500 to 750 EP value in current market. Which will not even ensure an AAA for individual CP rank reward.

Also, recent changes have caused so many players to quit from top clans from last clan wars that said clans are having to consolidate amongst their many branches and recruit outside. Many of those players had fat wallets. I personally know someone who sold over 7.9k EP via PayPal.

I hope at the very least DS is recruiting new active players with all its "efforts". Sorry, got on a tangent.

Thought I'd give my condolences for those in chance of the ranking rewards.

Yeah. A whole lotta people got boned. And many top ranking clans couldn't even get their AAA. Well, at least I got individual. And herobaby, good fight against all us in APOC!

I knew going into the clan wars, how we are going to get rank.  And yet I am skill pissed off with where we ended up.  Some of the clans that are ahead of us have less total cp then my individual cp.  That's suck big time. 

The last 5pm fight, our opponent did not show up on purpose.  We were #37 going into the last battle and got kill.  I hate to lose just to get better match up, but that seems like the way to go to get better ranking.   I wish they give the same points for all battles so winning % count for something.  

Anyway, I had fun and I actually miss the wars.   I told myself I was not going to get involve in this clan wars but when the event started I could not help myself but to join in.

The craziest juxtaposition of ranks was #66 and #67. Take a look...

All I have to say is wow

I feel like it would have been better if the clan's total cp would have weighed heavier in deciding ranks. As said earlier, most people couldn't even get their AAAs as they didn't have enough cp. That's about all I have to say.

My clan, not a great threat by any means, managed to attain more CP than 66th and 65th place... Combined! We finished 906th.

I think I need to send an angry inquiry to A-Team as should others.

 Many people have done that already after 1st clan wars, and nothing changed during clan wars 2 so I am not sure that will help much.  May be enough ppl complain they will fix it.

As far as I can tell (and I could be wrong), the battle match up are base on current ranking, follow by clan level.   My wife was in low level clan with few people during first clan wars and both of our clans rank about the same during the wars, but her clan faces much easier opponent than mine.  And eventually her low level clan ended up with better ranking than my max level clan.  

This time around we are in the same clan so I cannot tell clan level match up is still true.  If it is then, may be I am better off creating new clan right before the wars, then move 10 active members with aaa+/aa+ formation into the new clan and kill all the noobs.

I'm pretty sure there's a component in the matchups that considers how many BP were burned in the previous battle.  Every time my clan put up a lot of CP, our next battle was against a tough opponent.  I think ATeam's goal isn't to produce a fair ranking, but to get everyone to burn as many BP as possible.

Matchups are done by current ranking, not bp use or CP gained. Simply #1 vs #2, #3 vs #4, #5 vs #6, etc.
Rankings are based on clan score first, then CP second.
This could create unfortunate matchups that seem unfair due to current rankings.
Example, going into 2 pt morning battles, rank #1-4 have 20 pts, #1 beats #2 and #3 beats #4, so #1 and #3 battle and #2 and #4 battle even though a lower rank than weaker clans now. #1 wins and #4 wins, now #3 and #4 will battle, again. And the group keeps dropping lower.
After this point, #1 will have easy battles against weaker undefeated clans, and the others will struggle fighting each other and end up low ranked with high CP bcuz of losses and low clan scores.
Also, just bcuz a clan has higher CP doesn't mean they are stronger, it just means they spent more bp
My clan only had 1.8mil CP at the end, but we put up 560k and 640k in just the last two battles, I think only PU can boast putting up more points.

And because I didn't clarify in my example, the clans #2 and #4 would obviously not be ranked #2 and #4 anymore. If it was near the start of the wars they would likely have been #556 and #557, but they would have been at the top of that clan score bracket and faced, even though lower ranked than 554 weaker clans..

Bender what are the stats on your team?  PM me if you can, I think I want to make a change to mine, I'll keep niza and herone for hp up and ded, but might try for full guild.

Could be it. Due to a few bad matchups, we got 2.8mil cp and 39th place. Would be 4th if it was based on cp.

Personally, I'd use Bekar, Niza, Flur, Herone, and Orga, with Flur as leader. That form would have 194k atk and 164k def
