Formation question Empty Formation question

Ok, I'm at a fork in the road. I have two distinct formations, and aside from hoarder mentality, I can't justify keeping both. But I can't decide which way to go. Stats would be:

122k / 105k / 90k
vs.
110k / 120k / 83k

skills the same except #1 would have ipd and #2 would have health. So you could factor that in and end up with:

122k / 131k / 90k
110k / 120k / 116k

A lot of people knee-jerk and answer #1, but #2 actually has a higher total.

Intangibles: #2 is vulnerable to species down; but one monster is long overdue for an upgrade, so if/when ATeam comes out with a replacement, the atk number would go up around 6-8k, plus maybe another 2k on def.

Thoughts?

IMO,
Main form #1 - purely to make successful attack.
Defence form #2. Because it is hidden, then the chance of getting beaten by the right species down is reduce.
Thats my opinion...indeed hard to justify to keep both since ur #2 is prone to species down and thats why u need #1 to bait it or to be bait.

But having 1500-2000 ep worth of monsters as a defensive form seems overly luxurious. Besides, I already have a defensive form strategy in play, that doesn't rely on having to choose between these two.

Well, I go for #2. Good stats all rounder if ignore species dwn weakness. BTW i think it will be best discuss on species u have for form #1 and form #2. Coz of species popularity that may need to take some consideration. As you know most player have demon/brute dwn more than other species dwn.

#2

what's the stat difference?

-12k atk/-11k def/+26k hp

past 100k, additional attack is diminishing returns, health and formation longevity wins a lot more than being able to output a lot of damage quickly

i.e. I have a winged attack form; it's great and all and I can beat 180-210bp forms which cost much much more than mine, but if i have more than one miss; I'm basically screwed if they don't miss

also I can't defend against those formations at all but they can defend against me if i have 2+ misses

which makes me consider "those formations" to be better than mine
