Very new with a dumb question.

I started this game only 3 days ago. so far from what I have seen I really like it. I've even put a little money in for a good start. I've been able to play for like 4 hours on 1 day and now I cant connect to the game. My service is good. full bars on standard 4g speed. I keep getting "data transmission failed, please reconnect and try again" So my question is, why cant I connect? Is there specific down times for the game?

What device do you use. Some times I get same error on my android and I fix it with task kill or with restart/reboot

I use the galaxy s3. I've already tried rebooting the phone, doing a force stop on the game.

My galaxy S3 does that once in a while. It usually passes on it's own tho.

I understand that. But for 2 days? Cant really enjoy a game you cant play though. I hope they can fix this issue. would really like to get into this game. Might even spend quite a bit of money like I do the other games I play lol.

yeah the connection requirements to actually play the game are pretty unreasonable (I can't tell you how many times all of the other internet-contingent functionality of my phone e.g. email, palringo, browse, freakin making TRADES on fidelity app are working but DS doesn't want to connect).

So I can guarantee you're not the only one running into this problem.

Is their any chance you have access to Wifi? If you have a good Wifi connection and still can't connect to the game, it could be another issue altogether.

I would have to wait til tomorrow when I go to work to test on a wifi.

This is Tmobile problem. It will work just fine with wifi. As far as I know this is problem (eveything work fine except DS) only happen to Tmobile users.

This is just my belive: Tmoblie is limiting how many ppl can connect to DS server from their 4G network since DS does require live link while you are playing. Once you get connected to DS then you can play fine for as long as you want (until you get disconnected for inactivity) Anyway, If you keep on trying you will eventually get into DS. Sometime you can get in after 5 or 6 try, othertime you are stuck for 10+ time.

as your using a phone this probably isn't your problem....

But, just in case, Make sure the time on your device is correct for your area/timezone. I had reset my tablet awhile back and due the date was unable to play (got the transmission error), after i manually set the date/time for correct setting game worked again.
