Can you get progs from free summons anymore?

First, thanks for looking! Thanks again for the useful response you're about to give me

So...

Last summon grand prix I had piled up around 170 free dark summons. I used them all but didn't get a single prog for the event that was running concurrently. I know you used to be able to get progs from free DSes, but was I just super unlucky or is this just not a possibility any more?

I have about 15 free dark summons now and 4 free epics, so I'm wondering if I should save them for the next grand prix or try for a prog or what.

It used to be possible, I haven't seen one this year yet though, but I have horrendous luck. I can never summon a prog, usually buy some soul points at the beginning of an event I want to rank in but I still have never gotten one, just did 20 paid dark summons this morning, best I got was a kyuuki.

Wow! That's shiest-tastic! Hope you got an AA or something to make it worth your while.

Sooo the paid dark summons suck for getting them too? I definitely feel DSes got weaker when they switched to all A summons, though I was also transitioning from poor beginner summoner to advanced summoner with some EP to spend so say a ring dragon summons isn't nearly as exciting as it was.

BTW - Decided to summon since there's a lottery. 16 Dark summons & 4 "Epic" dark summons later, best card received: Airship of death - whoopdadee doooo...

Thank you. Good to know it's at least possible, if at around 1:175 chance (given our approx 525 summons and 3 progs mentioned).

Add a 1:275 for me... most summons came from the dice event of course. Those were spread over the events that have happened since. The prog I got was the sin prog when the new skills were introduced (I think it had Party Attack Plus).

its aprox. 315 summons, i did not miss a 0 when i said 15 lol

its really quite random, as i said, 300 summons for 2 prog and junk AAs like taroth and adan. but on the other hand, the 15 summons gave 1 prog and a thirst demon which i promptly sold for 125.

I was counting my 170 + 20 summons, your 300 + 15, the 20 from echoside. That's 525 for 3 progs or 1:175.
We can now add in 1 prog in 275 for faithnomorex and we have 800 giving 4 progs or a very round:

1 per 200 or .05% chance. That sounds like a programmer type number to me (and I know a few programmers).

oh ok. well at any rate, its possible, but how many it take to get one varies from person to person (from 1 of 500 to 1 of 1)

My luck has been so bad with these I have pretty much given up on them. I sure as hell am not oging to spend a lot of money on soul points on the off chance one comes across.

Just went through 200 FDS and didn't get a prog. Got one AA, Odin.

I think it's a scam to get us to buy SP.

During the last event I got one prog out of 5 free dark summons. Before that, it had been quite a while. (Well, for any CURRENT event progs... I seem to get Spear Hunter Adreyuna and Aya dragon on a regular basis now lol.)

I don't know what you are are smoking. Every time we get a new event I burn off some FDS to try for a prog, and you know what I get? PROGS EVERYWHERE!!

Sadly they are all from old events and are A skill fodder now, but... I compared that against doing it later on with no new event/progs and got the usual smattering of junk A's ... so I'd bet my lunch they do flip on the prog pool the day they add new progs for the new events.

Ya know, that made me think of something... i wonder if it's seemingly harder to summon current event progs because the prog "pool" is larger and they don't "shock it clean" every now and again?

Or do they (purportedly) have a fixed prog summon rate?

I'm not smart enough with the maths to know how games like this normally do it, but it seems like a larger pool would make it less likely to summon any given monster... no?

The crazy high numbers (multiple hundreds) are the result of what seemed like an oversight on Ateam's part known as the Dice event from a couple of months ago. Events like the current event, it is possible to amass a couple dozen or so.
