Nothing changed except the monsters. For that 1k EP you got for Taroth then you could buy an AA team which would put your into the top overall chart now. This game would suck if the monsters were all the same and never changed...

it would be horrible if the game stagnated and never got new monsters, releasing new, and devaluing the old is all a part of the game. the trick is to balance the speed at which the old stuff is devalued. complaining about this is like complaining that the PC you bought 10 years ago isn't even worth a small percent of its original value, well of course its not, but hopefully u had a job in that 10 years and can buy a new 2013 PC, same thing in game, play the market, rank in events and make enough to buy that shiny new 2013 monster.

I remember the old days when I bought a Time Void Golem regular for 2EP, and I ended up never using him because I decided on making a Winged Psycho Wyrm Team because I already had some good Wyrms. I ended up spending a ton of EP from buying more Wyrms to upgrade their rank. Little did I know that Psycho Wyrm Teams were horrible, and now I'm using my Time Void again to make an A+ Psycho Team.

the day before Kollosus expose the ep hackers: a lot of ep everywhere. so many of them, you could sold your low bp A's for 5-20 ep!

No, I am not blaming Kollosus for this ep shortage problem.
I don't remember if Kollosus was the one who expose the ep hackers or it was his guild member..

anyone remember seeing a lot of winners of Hyperion's Sequoia in rank 110-200 are people with b rank monsters with 0w 0l, and still doing eerie breezy plain mission area?

well i actually dont mind "ep is king". that's fine so long as they tell me what they're expecting in terms of price. but people who simply said "wow me" "overpay" are kinda annoying

Sometimes those person simply said "wow me" "overpay" are your friends or ally. Go ask them. =P

i dunno... you almost never have to say "ep is king". You should really be saying when ep is NOT king, as it seems most of the time "ep is king".

but i do agree with setting a price expectation.. to me as a buyer, THAT is king if you expect me to think about bidding any of my EP.

and to make it even shorter, IMO "overpay" is the only douche-ish enough.

I hate when people say "overpay". That isn't how a trade works. I'm supposed to give you something of equal value so that both the buyer and the seller are happy. I shouldn't have to overpay for your shit when I can get the same thing for actual market value elsewhere.

I too disagree with the concept of overpay, but I do see why people would refuse to take equal value trades. If I'm trying to sell a monster, do I want to take a monster or group of monsters of equal value from you that may be more difficult to sell? No, not really. Sure, the buyer is getting exactly what they want. But it doesn't do anything to benefit the seller. If you can offer something of equal value that the seller can actually use, then it should work out without the need for overpay. Most are just looking for things with higher market value.

when you offer your monster he DONT NEED to his monster you NEED, even theyre equal value, you must overpay

if he REALLY need your monster, he could accept it equally (i dont think any reason he could deny it)

Yeah, I agree with bacsiha, people offering me stuff I don't need or want for a card because they perceive it to be equal value is fine. But if they really want me to take something that I'm not looking for then it being an "overpay" would be what I want. That way there is an incentive for me trading my card I don't want for your card I also don't want. If you don't care for the overpay then trade with ep only.

You know, I always thought the whole overpay thing was pretty douchey too, but I think you guys just swayed my opinion. Your logic makes sense!

I remember when bp:ep was 5:1, a pit+m(20) was worth 150 ep, and a Sara reg traded at 180-200, lol. On the subject of overpay, I've never thought of it as douchy, since you would want to be sure that you can easily sell it for less than its value quickly. What I have a problem with is all the douches that point blank refuse to bargain in any way, and lowball you on top of that.
