A-Team has decided to finally follow through with its promise to increase the player level limit. The maximum level a player can reach has been increased from 200 -> 230.
In an effort to keep the playing field semi-level they have also capped the number of skill points a player can allocate to energy and/or BP at 1200.

I don't really have an opinion about this at the time seeing as how I'm only level 133, but I'm sure it'll piss me off soon enough.

I'd be interested in getting some thoughts on this from high level players.

According to my math, the maximum number of skill points you get is 1287

20[i_energy] + 80[i_battle] + 229[levels] * 3 + 100[allies] * 5 = 1287

So best case scenario they're only preventing an extra 87 energy or battle points. Seems stupid, people would need about 150 skill points set to battle points Minimum to be able to keep even a decent form. I assume this is for when/if they continue to increase the level cap in the future.

Do you know for sure that the max allies is still 100? If not, the cap impact is greater than your estimate.

I would expect that you will be able to pull another 15 allies for the extra 30 levels, and therefore grab an extra 75 allocation points. but that's just me.

It stops providing you with extra allies at about level 182 so you don't get the 5 points after that. It capped at 100. So unless they change that rule, the 1287 might be it. And in any case it really only affects BP. You have to have a minimum of 80 points in BP so that'll leave you with Just 7 points you can't move over. With resetting to all BP it'll be 67 points you can't move over.

Well I'm not high enough level to care yet, but I'm curious why just 230, seems like kind of a wierd number to cap at..why not 250? And why cap points at 1200, is it a server/ programming thing?

I would assume that don't want certain players getting too far ahead of the pack. Competitive balance is tenuous enough as it is.

I completely agree. Also, that 30 levels will probably take a long while to get.

Probably because they plan to raise the level cap further than 230 in the near future,.
250,. and later 300 seems quite likely.

yeah, I'm nowhere near caring yet, either, but it's still good to know (eventually). it's hard enough to get levels at around 110-120. I can't imagine how many EP it takes at higher ones.
