HUGE EVENT!!!!

So I've been thinking about what kind of huge event I would do if I were Ateam and wanted a huge income making event/reward. So we all know that vagrant lands was huge even with the whole screw up but the big pack of spirits made for a massive reward(though I am not sure of the amount of EP/BP spent to get top prize made it worth it. But I am trying to come up with another one, the only real thing I can think of is something AGILITY related, either a spirit or an AA monster with Agi, or if they would be better off doing a choose a monster type of thing. Just some reward that would make people go crazy trying to win it. Maybe I'm wrong and its not even an agility thing. Thoughts?

but maybe more rewards at the level of souls of skills. There's a huuuuuge gap in the events for participation rewards between the people who don't spend any ep, and the ones who spend hundreds.

I mean participation reward for 10 sets? and then you need probably high hundreds or thousands to get anything in the final ranking. Or they could improve the lower ranking rewards or add more low ranking rewards (like 10,000 rather than 5000)

because right now; there's probably a really small group of people who actual spend hundreds of ep on events, and thousands who are like F* it I don't stand a chance, I'm just breezing by this one with recharge energy.

there needs to be incentive for smaller spenders. Like if I know I'm going to get as much spending 40ep as I am spending 0ep as far as the final rankings are going, I'm going to go with 0. if there are some nice clear cut rewards that require the need of ~10/25/50 more people would probably get ep; like the event has 1 day left, but if I have 4 more ep, I can get the 50ep award which is some 25bp AA with an ok-ish skill. yeah, I'll buy 4 ep. but if all the rewards seem hundreds of ep away; why bother?

Most people who try to rank are 80+ people. A-Team is missing on getting people to play/spend money below that. They need reward for lower level. Top 3 in each level division. Level 1-30, 31-50, and 51-80. This allows people at the lower level to strive to win something important otherwise they don't really have any incentive to put money into it. If I'm a level 40 and spend 50 ep, I know I won't rank but if they had different levels divisions, then a lot of people might feel that can try to win a prize that is worth winning. The prize might not be as good as the overall rank but a good 20-30bp AA monster is still a good incentive.

i liked that summoning grand prix they did a little while back... even though the results seemed jacked up, i thought it was a refreshing change to the ep or bp event. I just wished it was broader/lasted longer with some more mid-level rewards... or maybe a component that would let you win more ally points for summons... idk. But the rank AA summon was a very cool top prize... maybe they could sweeten the pot with an AAA summon lol

i actually didnt like that one very much, its heavily stacked in favor of buy3rs, which i am not a member of :/
i mean for any event i can be a good capitalist and trade for eps/bps and rank in events for AAs without spending re@l m0n3y, but in the grand summoner one i have zero chance unless i p@y hundreds which i will not do.

I'd say, realease the chance of summoning old a's and aa's from event summon. So those who's crazy for vic+ or puppeteer will go for it as well as some new unfortunate player which love to collect but ain't paying 1k pot to puppeteer

I traded my Anna+m20(DEA) for a Stellwing+m20 and Meryle
and trade DHR+m20(IPD) for Ast+m20

I love Anna and DHR but theyre too weak compare to many new AA just released. But i dont think theyre good trades because old rare AAs (phantom tower event, dhr,.. ) dropping value slower than the new AA although theyre too much weaker

I'm pretty sure that the gears/chains/icicles/whatever are just going to drop Gigas and Naga 99% of the time like usual. Maybe 1% of the time it'll drop Spite.

You forgot all those slumber skilled guys. Those are always a real letdown when they pop up on my screen.

Agree with JessicaMD. By catering to the "middle class" they could generate a lot of revenue. Right now we're kinda like China is. Vast canyons separating the wealthy from the destitute. Some people put in the hours to garner enough ep to compete in an event but many just throw in the towel.

I love both of these ideas. I agree entirely. I myself am lvl 73. I won't make top ranking anytime soon. Really no point in me trying. I don't get anything for it, and the one time i did try, i spent everything, sold everything, and didn't come even close.

I would definitely like to see something put in to get rewards for the lower levels. As well as the people who only buy 20ep, and not need to have thousands like the higher ends do. I think they would drastically increase their player base. As well increase the amount of people who continue to play if there is at least something everyone can get.

Well, I'm spending nothing on the current event (other than $0.99 I used for a shot at a prog when the event began), and I even sold my free Epic Fail Trap. If I had bought myself another trap instead, I'm sure I would hit the 300 mark and get a fun revived summon gamble. As it is, I'm 99% sure I'm going to miss it, and not by much.

So it is possible to spend just a little bit of EP/cash for a shot at a small reward.

I guess what's missing is being able to invest a medium amount of EP for a better reward.

What I think is interesting (or annoying) is the higher your level, the more you're forced (in a manner of speaking) to use EP to make the most out of a high Energy Point cache. What I mean is that EP recharges so slowly that you have to wait 18 hours or more to refill EP naturally. Aside from the collection bonuses or levelling up, a lower level player can get to about the same point in an event *without EP* as a higher level player.

I'm not a fan of stopping play at 8, waking up, and finding my EP isn't fully recharged yet. And yet my BP refills in a couple of hours. There's such a large disparity between the two rates, I wish there was a way to get that EP recharge rate down below 147 seconds or whatever it is.

I think one of the big things being.missed is the number of players relative to ranking rewards. Over time active player counts have increased while the event ranking counts have stayed the same. They need to extend it out simply to accommodate the growing player base.

I say go back to guild specific ranks. If the sin reward is great, and the psycho is kinda crappy but I'd still like to have it, it doesn't make sense having to compete against them to get it. If they insist on making the rankings consolidated, then they ought to give us the choice of which reward we want.

I would like this. Top 200 or 250 of each guild? This would allow more people to try. Knowing how difficult it is to rank, most people wouldn't try for those undesirable monster but to get to 200 of your guild might be a good incentive for some people especially since two events ago Rancor only had 70 monsters.
